I've been checking out the Fall Brawl on their LapMaster feed.
What a field of great drivers!
Look at Duran's best times across all eight lanes? Less than .04, top to bottom.(5.669-5.708)
Does anyone think there's ever been a race with it that close?

The actual/chart is also very interesting.
Matt Bruce in third place leads this chart, with winner Edsel is in the third ranking.

Check under Duran's collar and you will see the twin data ports that he uploads car, track, and controller information. Hope I haven't given away all his secrets!

Along this same line, I want to give a shout-out to Matt Bruce.
One of the neatest features of Carsten's gold-standard LapMaster system is a chart he terms the 'actual/potential' calculation. This chart compares a racer's actual lap total in a heat to his theoretical perfect heat where every lap was run at the fastest lap he turned in that heat.
Below is part of the actual/potential chart from the Stock Car race run Thursday. Note that on blue lane, Matt Bruce achieved a 99.9% number. That is, on blue lane he was within 0.1% of a 'perfect' heat. I don't recall seeing that number on this LapMaster chart ever before...

It always amused me that I would have any class of car I had set up and driving very well. I would have Duran also drive it just to see where I could pic up some better lap times and invariably he would be a tenth quicker with any car I was testing within a couple of laps!!
He has an amazing ability to get the most out of any car.

Talking about consistency take a look at Edsel's results in Can-Am.
D main 284 laps
C main 283 laps
B main 284 laps
A main 283 laps
Finished third in the A. I am impressed.

That performance by Edsel got him the new Iron Man award for making the most move ups. Not bad for a 70-year old!
