Mmmmmmm Kool aid. Hopefully not from Gianna.

Kool aid gets an undeserved bad rap. Jim Jones used Flavor Aid ™

And now you know the rest of the story.

PS: The popular phrase "Anyone? Bueller?" was not said by Ben Stein (as Economics Teacher) in the movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".

That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten.

It works. Here's a comparison. If you have a stainless steel sink, look under it. Same concept.
I don't use tape, I use sheet rubber. Not all cars need it but, some motors are, well,JunK. Another problem it will mask is a bent rim or out of round tyer. Notice that I said MASK, not cure.

It's a long way from rubber tape to cyanide or Bueller. Don't you just love thread drift. Cool carry on.  :)

It appears that the tape is evident on a championship winning car. Not to discount the negative comments but I'm inclined to follow a race winner rather than a "also ran".

That is a gell tape that some have adapted to use instead of the slick 7 reinforced tape. The silicone stuff is very different and there are even materials that will convert the vibrations to heat. I have gotten some from people time to time and it works okay.

Maybe we should be asking, who supplies rubber & rubber tape? The cyanide is for gluing the magnets.

How thick a rubber do you want? Exercise bands come in all sorts of thicknesses & colors? You might find rubber tape in a sporting goods shop/department for wrapping bat handles & tennis rackets. I got two rolls 30 yrs. ago in a hardware store.

I bought a 12"x12" sheet at a hardware store. I used to buy it at plumbing supply stores. We called it survival rubber. I've used inter tubes, tyre patches, almost anything.

Wrong...The OP: "Greetings gents, I'm needing to buy some anti vibration tape. Can someone please tell me where and what to buy? Maybe a link?"

Regardless of thread drift, the discussion has actually been about "anti-vibration/dampening" and that is exactly what you are doing with your "goo tape".

Rarely do I agree with Dave on stuff on slotblog but here I do. The pictures do not show tape being used to limit vibration but as motion limiting to keep the pan centered to the chassis. Notice it does not go under the bit bars at all. It has a little more elasticity than the strapping tape used by others.
The anti-vibration tape can be used for other purposes but it is used to dampen/deaden the vibrations that travel through the chassis from every bump or motion. It is not meant to limit chassis motion but has been adapted to do so. It can be made out of silicone or rubber and is available from McMaster Carr. Just do a search and I believe noose posted a part number on another thread.

Defining "motion limiting" as not being "dampening" does not make it so...

Dampening: to make less strong or intense
Limiting: to prevent or restrict movement(s)
That really is me in the picture.
