Any idea when?

No idea.  Their Facebook page is "slot car raceway and hobby shop" instead of the old Raceway.biz Facebook page.

They posted this on 12/29

Hello @everyone just to keep everyone updated, store is packed up, I signed the lease, and just waiting for the keys to the new place.
The new place will be located at the Vero Beach outlet mall in Vero Beach.
As soon as I get any more updates I will keep you guys in loop.
Thank you to everyone that has been getting ahold of us and asking if you could help. That really means a lot to us.

But ...  one of their last posts on 1/3 said that they were still waiting on the keys to the new location.

today (Tuesday, 1/3/23) we will be opening at 12:30 we will keep everyone posted if we are gonna race tonight we are still waiting for the keys to the new location.

It won't always be like this, but yesterday I won the LMP race with 13/35 in the CR102 and the car weighed 95gr.🤔🏁

You should have raced at 82g Marcus. If you had a 14 you would have Dominated.

Just a quick note to let folks know that the 2023 Rules document has been posted.

Don't blame Dale for the delay in posting.  I volunteered to help with the updating and editing and then went out of town and waited until I go back so I'd have a full keyboard to type on.

The guidelines have been adjusted to only require a 1/16" front downturn on 4" Stock Car bodies since that's about what folks that cut at the top of the cutline on the Ralph Thorne Titan were ending up with.

Also ... for racers considering the Mid America Mustang ... on the body I purchased, the cut line on the side of the body doesn't exactly line up with the bottom cut line on the splitter.  Plan ahead and make sure you end up with enough downturn to pass tech. If you blindly just follow the side cut line and end up short ... that's on you.

I want to thank Rollin for bringing the rules up to date for this season.  Great job!

Also, I want to point out that the "courtesy track call" (the 1 1/2 minutes to make an emergency repair) has been somewhat changed.  Last year's rule and this year's rule are below.

The main change is, if a car is damaged as the result of hitting another car that had deslotted, this year a driver won't be able to use the rule to make repairs.

_________________________________________________________________________
LAST YEAR
2.3.6 In order to allow racers to make emergency repairs, each racer will be allowed to request one "courtesy track call" during a race.  The race director will time the track call and restart the race exactly one minute and 30 seconds after repairs have begun, or sooner if repairs are completed.  If any other car is repaired (other than what a turn marshal is allowed to do), the driver of that car will be deemed to have also used their courtesy track call.
_________________________________________________________________________
THIS YEAR
2.2.5 In order to allow racers to make emergency repairs in the event of a mistake made by a turn marshal or race director (example … a car is put on the wrong lane or crushed by the turn marshal or the track isn’t promptly turned off in the event or a rider,) each racer will be allowed to request one "courtesy track call" during a race.  The race director will time the track call and restart the race exactly 1 minute and 30 seconds after repairs have begun, or sooner if repairs are completed.  If any other car is repaired (other than what a turn marshal is allowed to do), the driver of that car will be deemed to have also used their courtesy track call.  This courtesy track call is not available to make other repairs or adjustments.

Chris what do you mean not saying anything but just sharing what Rollin said?

Btw the Vero beach has all tracks in place and has a new to them refurbished king track set up in the building.

What classes will be run on what track in Vero? I just noticed the race is scheduled on Easter weekend and i took it off so I'll be able to catch a flexi race this season. Will any or all races be on the king?

Brian will be strong on the King because of all the races he's been doing on Kings recently.

It will be a treat for the Florida racers to race Flexi's on a King in general.

Hello BOD, when will we know what classes will run on what track in Vero Beach? I hear Nascar will be on the Oval? If that's the case, I'll be able to sleep in. Asking for a friend, thanks.

We heard those same rumors this past Saturday.  And at this point I think it's just that .... rumors. Thankfully.

I also heard that at least one racer near Vero is going to pay a visit and try to point out how ridiculously fast the lap times would be.  Chaos!  Hopefully wiser minds will prevail.

Eddie/Nathan, JT, and I talked about this on the drive home last Saturday.  We agreed that IF the NASCAR race is on the oval, then we're PROBABLY going to skip that class.  After all .... to make it there by 8am, we'll have to be on the road between 4:30 and 4:45.  You can figure the alarm time ahead of that.  Let's just say ....  That's pretty early just to destroy a body and/or chassis.

I just called Joe.  He said all classes will be run on the King track.  He anticipates that the King will be up and running by the end of this week, if all goes as he hopes.

I just saw a post that the retro event in Thomasville, GA that was scheduled for the weekend before the FSCS event at Eddie's, has been rescheduled for the weekend OF the FSCS event (which is also Mothers Day weekend).

Maybe Ed will move the FSCS event up a weekend to Sat May 6th or Sun May 7th.  If so, I think there will be a couple of more racers that will be able to attend.

If so ... a decision needs to be made and announced quickly.  Some people might have hotel reservations that they'll need to try to change  .... and some can't be changed.   And, some people might need to request the day off.

EDIT: ... and someone should reach out to the Flexi racers that also run Retro to see if they're even interested in running both events.  Could be that they're only planning to run one event.

Due to conflicting schedule dates, the FSCS May race at Fast Eddie's will be Sunday May 7 instead of Sat. May 13.

Marcus would like to know if there is anyone that intends to be at the Sunday Oct. 15th FSCS races at P1, but would not be able to attend if the race date is changed to Saturday the 14th?

And is there anyone who won't be there on the 15th, but would attend the races if they were on the 14th?

I spoke with JT and Eddie/Nathan and we'll be there whichever day the race is held.

However ... we prefer Saturday.

Plus, Mike Henry might be able to come race on Saturday.  (He works on Sundays.)
