I am so glad we are enjoying this search. Its always fun for me to gather our collective knowledge. :) Thanks to all for contributing.

I have added 2 Lotus 30 bodies to my collection, so now I have 7.

I am still looking for the elusive Shark Lotus body, but it is the search that keeps it interesting.

I have now seen this and would assume that the painted bodies by Eureka would be called "deluxe" and the clear bodies would be on a more plain card like this.

Anybody have a spare card or even a clear flat pic of a card like this?

Bodies still to find The Shark Lotus 30 and the MDC Lotus 30 clear bodies.

I found a image on eBay I can work with. I will post a pic of what I believe is the label the clear bodies came with. I know a lot of the Eureka bodies were untrimmed and stapled to a larger card.

My body was factory trimmed, so I guess they came both ways and even some were pre painted (see post #21 sent by Lee) I am working on a basic small label that I think they could have used.

  :)

In the photo of the single body, isn't that a 23?

Actually Mark it was for a King Cobra but I changed it to say Lotus Riverside and removed the body in photo shop.

Hard to read once under the body.

Still not sure what the numbers mean to the left of the body title 8 over 24 a part number I'm guessing :unknw:

In Steve Okeefe's  Eureka body list there is only one P/N which is the Porsche P/N 324.

There is a very good description of the differences between the 30&40 in the Lotus book and also, the book by Len Terry. I'm not sure if I'd be prosecuted if I copy anything from it. You knew I was going to say 10 more mistakes,so I won't say it again.🤐
I will say that the exhaust is one of the most iconic memories of, of,.....

Of, 🤔,oh yeah, I think I remember. A iconic memory of the 60's. Wasn't it?

I have the book by Len Terry.  Great book BTW. I will refresh my memory and give another read.

Speaking of memory Mark, I believe the old saying is 10 more mistakes not 40. :)

LMFAO, dyslexia!!! I found out how to use the edit button. It should be ok now.
The picture that I was going to post will have to wait until tomorrow. It was delivered to the office next to mine.

Does look like a 23. The next one down tag says Riverside, so doesn't that make it a 19? And the body does look like a 19.  Don't know of any 23's with V-8s.

Hi Dave the 1964 Lotus Type 30 Riverside Race #15 Jim Clark is recognizable by the short flat rear wing and the the 2 filler caps ? on the front of the rear fenders.

You are probably right. The vents in the rear deck are like the 30. I just didn't think there was enough "hump" to the front arches, and I couldn't see the air inlets at the rear of the "doors". It would be so much easier if the bodies were painted. :scare:

Good point Dave! Unless someone shoehorned a aluminium Buick in it.. oooooooooh now that would be a ride!!!
I'll see what the book says about any V8 versions. It's easier than goooele and more satisfying.

The 19 is a double wide 18 formula junior. The 23 has the 18 front suspension and the rear suspension from the new junior. It skipped the 20,21&,22. Formula junior cars?

Funny you should suggest this Dave as I was thinking of asking if anybody has any painted Lotus 30 bodies. I have a few I could take pics of.

Please share if you have some.

Rodney just posted a nice lotus 30 save BTW.
