Long time no see! Looks like I have a lot to catch up to in here (hopefully I can do that soon)!
I just wanted to let those of you who have followed this project from the beginning and those who have a vested interest in it, since the cars were made by many of you, that the FINISH LINE exhibition has been moved from Milan to Lugano (Switzerland).
Here are some pics of the installation inside the art space of the UBS bank in downtown Lugano.
Ho oh, what’s that thing(ie), some passer-by are wondering:
But it’s the Arrow Dart!
Much discussion on how to lift it up the mezzanine:
An agreement has been reached:
All done now:
The opening (pics by Flavio B. ) :
Best regards to all

Very beautiful, Mr. B! I just noticed that the track looks like it's made of Lucite! Wow!

I never thought that slotcars (thingies!) would end up as an art gallery display. That's quite an accomplishment.
Congrats,

That looks spectacular, what a great space for a great exhibition. How long will your work be on show there?

as surely you all are aware by now, Kingie has been touring worldwide with his in depth research, in the form of a series of conferences, titled:
"The psychological influence and consequential pavlonian reflex of TVSSC* on the sexual life of large adult mammals and its significant ostensible perturbation on contemporary Art."
*Thingies&Vintage Scratchbuilt slotcar’s collecting
Here you can see him in a typical moment being extremely brilliant and convincing as always:
In the meantime after a 3 months at UBS in Lugano the Finish Line exhibit has been taken down and stored in special boxes to be shipped back to Milan:
Every good thing has an end, innit?!

I'm back, watch out for porno-chic pics soon on a computer screen near you!

We missed you. And yes, I will get back to it. After tracing it, I have realized how much I have lost of my former ease in doing this kind of things.
Meanwhile, my (lovely) wife is cranking new paintings with the ease of a Monet.
Maybe it would be time that we make some out of it...

Good to see you again, sure missed ya and I'm glad that your exhibition was a success. Well I guess you need a break from slots?
Maybe down the road you will have some interest to share about the exhibition and what happened?
I guess to take a break for slot cars and Museum exposition must be very important, after all it must have been really stressful for you?
At least you are home and you got the Alps and a hot cycle to cruse around with and all the cool Bistros to hang around.
Bring on the Lady's for the old guys.
Dear Edo I missed out on the poster?

Not a snob in this hobby, after all it will be gone, if we keep on going like we do, and I have nothing to prove so I keep on posting because I have nothing to gain.
It's our duty to remember the past so we can have a future.

Damn Your E-ness, I better finish that artwork that I promised you for the past two years. You KNOW how it is with artists, they have to be in the mood first...

That car in the pic you posted looks like a tinplate. Is it?
