Have you got enough room in the studio to house Infinity once the show is over?
Excited is unrated, maybe ecstatic!
The whole staff of Slotblog wishes you the greatest success for what promises to be the greatest show on Earth since the Moon landing.
Rumor has it, Edo has a Cuc-rocket. possibly from a moon landing?

You sure are putting on a great show in Milan I sure wish I was there to see this magnificent show? But you sure are looking good and I love the setup, you sure have a eye for arts my friend.
Have to say love the 1:1 car in that setting the way its popping out and its very elegant as it should be.
Maybe you could help us out here to get a catalog my dear Kingee?

After all this is a living hobby and not a game we all love this thing and some of you are a proof of it spending at least 20years or more on this wonderful
hobby and I sure am glad you guys did.
Love the title of this thread "We created a MONSTER".
Edo maybe we are the really Monsters but more sophisticated?
Good luck on your exhibition and love to see some Artsy people in the photos that don't get it while they are munching on Caviar and sipping on some bubbly trying to understand the world of Slot Cars and the players in this game.
Edo this is much deeper then this and you of all should know this game.
Love the whole thing but I sure hope you can confuse them?
Yours truly

Hi Nesta
I think you were bothered by this picture of the Thingie Kingie (sporting a new long haired wig), embracing the Dudette, Miss Cristina and LadyDark at the opening:
You probably consider today's Art World only surface and glamour as opposed to the genuine and candid Slot World.
You might be right, I respect your point of view and, yes it's true, I'm not concerning myself, like you often do, with Big Systems nor with the Big Profound Questions of Our Times
I must be quite superficial since I don't disdain beautiful Venuses in furs sipping champagne while they precariously stand on their sexy high heels.
I'm a bad person, yes, I am.
Still, the Finish Line project is something I HAD TO DO to channel my obsession I have about this beautifu Artistic toys.
And this is what was on the walls with the help of many wonderful builders and painters (the credit list is coming soon):
Ciao Nesta
Warm regards
E

Dear Kingee
Its not about you as you should know, have you ever heard the expression? "Pearls before swine" I sure love the beautiful LADY'S in your post but I think the
audience don't get the picture of real slot car racer's my friend.
I think the ambiance of the set up is super and You as a Artist did a great work and please tell the Lady's they sure look good after a glass of Port and please don't take this as a bad thing.
But here in old Kali we take racing seriously and that's the way they roll, I don't think they are ready for Art Exhibitions yet, they are a living breed here and
they will race you down my there Kingee.
You sure need to come to Kali my friend and feel the vibe done here.
It is sure no art here it's all about racing.
Take care and good luck with does people and I sure hope you make a buck or two on their ignorance.
Nesta aka 68Caddy
BTW you need to take charge again of T.

Dear Kingee
Its not about you as you should know,
I know there Nesta, thanks?
have you ever heard the expression? "Pearls before swine"
Yes, I see what you mean?
Next time I will not cave in to the desire of showing what slot artists can do with paint, brass and a lot of passion.
Nor to document it and exhibit it outside of our sandbox.
Those tasteless ignorant pigs out there don’t deserve to see.
I sure love the beautiful LADIES in your post but I think the
audience don't get the picture of real slot car racer's my friend.
Actually, it was not the purpose of the project but never mind.
I think the ambiance of the set up is super and You as a Artist did a great work
Thank you, I do appreciate?
and please tell the Lady's they sure look good after a glass of Port
I certainly will, but I can confirm they were looking pretty good even before they were drinking Prosecco
and please don't take this as a bad thing.
I won't, I find what you write in the middle of the night quite colorful and amusing
But here in old Kali we take racing seriously and that's the way they roll,
I have no problem with that, on the contrary?
I don't think they are ready for Art Exhibitions yet,
What you really mean is: I should refrain from parading around such projects on Slotblog?
I can ask Cheater to take the whole thing off, so none of the Kali racers will be needlessly distracted,
in case they happen to take a look here.
they are a living breed here and they will race you down my there Kingee.
That would’nt take much, there Nesta, as I’m not much of a racer? When really lucky, in a Z main, I’m just a mid-of-the pack one
You sure need to come to Kali my friend and feel the vibe done here.
One day I will?
It is sure no art here it's all about racing.
Perhaps, but I’ve seen very beautiful chassis and body paints those hardcore racers make.
Take care and good luck with does people and I sure hope you make a buck or two on their ignorance.
Nesta aka 68Caddy
Thank you, there Nesta (hopefully it will be a bit more than a buck or two).

BTW you need to take charge again of T.
T. as in Thingies? Oh Yes! More are coming soon!

This may be one of the greatest undertakings in the history of our favorite pastime. Through your efforts a group of people who otherwise might never have seen slot cars before will be exposed to one of the most arcane aspects of its history. Your Thingie exhibits demonstrate a period in time when slot cars were at the nexus of slot cars evolving away from miniature analogs of full sized race cars and some very early applications of aerodynamics and down force. Your presentation has elevated our slot cars to kinetic art. I would be very grateful to see more of your wonderful artistic display. You are a true artist.
PS. Please add my name to the list of admirers who have requested to acquire one of your posters.
The older I get, the faster I was.

It's great to have such feedback!
One more thing to complete this thread is what's underneath the Arrow Dart body Gene Adams has provided and which chassis Allan "Swissracer" Wakefield has built for it:
Motor is a TSR D3, which has prouven very reliable during all the Proxy 2008 Thingie race, mounted to a modified BWA motor mount:
Here is a view of the front with a splendid pick up arm needed to follow the track, which does not have anything flat being the surface all in torsion:
For the same reason the front axle has an up and down play which allows the wheels to perfectly copy the surface (design consultant for that particular detail is Steve "Lowrider" Kempson):
Here Swiss, testing the CAR on my track:
Spare bodies galore:
And here the presentation box, in case the buyer of INFINITY will want to keep his beloved Arrow Dart to rest for a moment from its constant turning on the track:
Nice, no? As they say: "The Divine is in the details"!
E.
PS The poster will be available soon, arrangements are being made with the gallery on how to get it. The catalog will be ready only by mid January.
More info as they come will be published here.

Great gallery exhibit!
Love the video!
How did you make the wall mural with the photos of so many cars?
The large photo of the scratchbuilt chassis' is impressive.

Hi Keith...How did you make the wall mural with the photos of so many cars?...
I made a large file (400MB) for the poster, which carries 112 cars from my T. collection:
That file was used to print the wall paper to cover the whole wall (called the T wall obsession) :
FYI Poster has 14 x 8 cars for 112 total
Wall has 9 x 4 posters for 36 total
112 x 36 is 4032 BUT the bottom row of the lowest posters has one line of cars missing so...
9 x 8 is 72..
4032 minus 72 gives you a manic wall of 3960 cars *
The exibition is down now and the wall of T was torn apart.
Regards
E
* Calculation by Swissracer and a few guys on Slotforum obsessed by the number of cars.
BTW 3960 IS the number of Thingies one day I will have in my collection, 'cause I'm the Thingie Kingie!
Am I not?
