You are the King of Thingies .

"Drive it like you're in it!!!"
"If everything feels under control... you are not going fast enough!"
Some people are like Slinkies... they're really good for nothing... but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Good to see thingies in particular and slot cars in general given this sort of exotic treatment.
Any updates on this?
PS The poster will be available soon, arrangements are being made with the gallery on how to get it. The catalog will be ready only by mid January.
More info as they come will be published here.

About the poster:
I was told that the gallery is redoing the site in html as it's more secure than the actual one, done in Flash, for when it comes to have a PayPal system inbedded.
It's the classical situation called "soon comes", sort of typical of Mediterranean regions (and that without wanting to generalize).
But don't worry soon you'll be able to buy thousands of them so I can get a cut and be able to buy more toys.

Regards
Edo
PS The catalog is on the back burner at the moment, but, again, soon comes.

BTW to all of you Edo/ Thingie fans out there I strogly urge you to take a look at the other movies Edo has made.
My personal favorite is "Downtown 81" It will give you some additional insight as to this mans true genius and exceptional talent as a filmaker.
I'll bet not many of you realize that Edo counts Andy Warhol, Jean Michel Basquiat, Deborah Harry and many others in their circle as his personal friends and colleagues.

Thanks Tom,...I strogly urge you to take a look at the other movies Edo has made...
but I'm certainly no genius, just a maverick assembler even in the film world.
For those of you who are in Miami on March 14&15 you could see my two movies at the Miami Film Festival and meet me in person.
You'll recognize me right away because I will be holding my original 1967 cut up Cuc in my hand.

Thank you Sandy,I think you should have a show here in NY in Chelsea. Sandy Gross
I'm working on it, I would looove to have the Finish Line exibit in one of those galleries in Chelsea!

HI Edo,
Miami? as in Miami, Florida located in the U.S.A.?
You need to head north to Ohio in the state capitol of Columbus, and check out the R-4 race going on over the weekend!...I know there the D-3 contraptions, but there still an inline car and you'll have the chance to meet a lot of really nice people...including Me!

First off, it's a BIG poster, none of your 8 1/2 x 11 here, this thing is enormous!
And the quality is what you would expect from the kingie - top class.
So, thank you, Edo, for a wonderful connection to an historic event, I will treasure it.
Pity you did not sign it, though.......ah well, we can't have everything. Perhaps one day we will meet in person and correct that.

WHOA!

Consider yourself the 'lucky one'
all I got is one of these printed from my own printer.

I even built a car for the show and offered to BUY one of these posters.
It pays to know the right people, I guess?

During a recent trip to LA, Edo very kindly brought a poster for me...
Hi Dennis
truth is, I really wanted to come to Buena Park and give it to you personally and meet the guys, but because of Chris Gellegos passing the track was closed.
I even printed a couple of Keith Tanaka’s pics depicting the usual suspects* racing there and put their names on it so I could introduce myself properly to each one of them:

I also wanted to take a picture of my original 1967 cut up Cuc on the King, home of the big slot Stars, to give the following Art project an even more prestigious and shining flavour.
Anyway, for your delectation here’s the beginning of biggest conceptual project ever to be undertaken in Art history:
Cuc at the airport:

Cuc on the plane:

Cuc in Miami:

Cuc on Dokk’s borrowed Umvee:

Cuc chez le P:

Cuc chez Paris Hilton:

Cuc sharing deep statement:

Cuc with Lowrider:

Cuc impressing cute girl:

Cuc being wanted by the LASCM (no way! It’s MINE!):

Cuc with sister D3 killer in NY:

More "my Cuc in strange lands" to come in the future.
E.
PS *In a way you BP guys were lucky 'cause you would've been humiliated to see my Cuc beat all of your D3 contraptions (on the King at least)

It would have been a pleasure to meet the Thingie Kingie in person.
Hopefully, some day in the future you can swing by BPR again. I'm sure the BPR racers
would be most interested in meeting and talking with you about thingies and slotcars in Europe.

It was a pity that we did not get to meet you, hopefully there will be other opportunities, either at BPR or perhaps in Europe, who knows.

A man and a woman sitting at a table in a restaurant. The woman looks over at the next table and there is a Cuc sitting there. The woman looks longingly at the Cuc and asks the waiter "What is that?" The waiter replies "That is the money you could be saving....."
