I'll happily look at Mill's car in 1:1, but he just made a comparison his to The Kingie's...
OK again just curious... ????

What Edo is doing has to do with a public show in Italy where Edo's truly fantastic pictures of thingies are going to be displayed. The unmotorized 1/1 Shinoda body is simply a display piece for the show and there are no plans to make it work. It might be stuck to a wall as far as we know, like a modern art sculpture, which in a way it is.
Mill's car is a completely different story and deserves a thread of its own, which we began.
Got it?

Believe me, it's not out of arrogance that I prefer to keep this thread on topic. It's just that it's a project which is quite articulate and there will be many pictures for the next weeks.
And it's all based on my obsession for Thingies coming back from the past and whose concept will be displayed to a different public than us.
What I'm trying to do here is to show a preview of what will be shown, in the hope there some interest from your part, since we're all sharing a passion for slot cars.
Anyway,
One other "art piece" which will be exposed is this:
... Meet "INFINITY":
... A one-lane track where the 1/24 scale Arrow Dart will run for eternity (unless there is a blackout).
More to come...

The drift was also beginning to cause confusion in the line of discourse, as there were a couple of posts where it could not be discerned which car was being discussed.
No one should feel that splitting this thread in two is punishment in any way. Splitting it was simply the best approach for all parties.
It should be clear to all regular Slotblog readers that we don't normally get too concerned about thread drift...

Hi Mill, Hi Oscar,

Excellent concept, your Kingness!
I suppose it would be too much to ask for you to find a suitably dense "minion" to stand there, motionless, holding a controller down full-punch forever also, eh? If you don't feed it or water it, it might make it until closing time each day and THEN it could attend to it's biological needs.

thanks, that's an absolutely brilliant idea!
I must get on it, but, if you do not mind, I would be more oriented toward a cute girl doing exactly that.
Mmmmh, lemme see...

Or if Lady P decides to iron my shirts at the same time the races are run at Ezio's... now THAT was a black out!A one-lane track where the 1/24 scale Arrow Dart will run for eternity (unless there is a blackout).

Tex, isn't that the size of a standard slot car in Texas?
It only seems that way to non-Texans.... we tend to exagerate a bit.

hey, I saw a picture of you: you remind me of Crosby, Still, Nash and Young
Anyway,
The date of the exibition is approaching fast (November 27)
The "T.Obsession" wall is getting together, save for a few cars I still have to put together and photograph.
This is just a rough layout:
Size of the T. wall will be about 9' by 15'

In the meantime the big Arrow Dart is painted and ready to be moved from Turin to Milan in a big truck and installed in the gallery:

Thanks Mill!Simply Brilliant! Bravo
(BTW I will post a list of all the people who helped the whole "Finish Line" project later)
I ain't going, I have nothing to wear!...What are you going to wear?..
Anyway,
back in Turin, father and son are working around the clock to finish INFINITY:
Note this custom mini-sander they built to smooth out the surface:
Track is built in two modular pieces attached by 2 big "screws":
The Arrow Dart, being built by Swissracer, meets INFINITY for preliminary tests:

INFINITY will be powered and the Arrow Dart will run all the time. Microphones will pick up the sound of it and it will be amplified in the room.
There will be manned demo runs also, since the track will have a controller hooked up too.
Ciao for now
