Thanks guys! Seem to have been a short lived item.

Mike, it's unfortunate that the older the thread, the less photos are retrievable.

Best part is:::
I don't have to paint it red!!!!! I need a white and blue NART livery car. Now, where to find the elephants

I must have confused my car with this one. Italian cars( and women) are subject to change without notice. Trust me, I know.
Anyway,if the caption doesn't come through, it's labeled as a 1970 512-s long tail. This one ( in the picture)looks like a cross between a P-4 and a 512-M. Where as the Patrica version looks like a P-4 with a tail.

After reading the link from Mike S., I've tried to find one Tom Anderson. Evidently he is a re-producer of this body. The link posted, well,it sez, he is the founder of wikipedia. Possible but, improbable.

Anyone???

Mark, Tom Andersen suddenly quit making bodies & disappeared about 3 or 4 years ago. I question if he got sick or is even still living. I've never heard that anyone else got his body molds. Perhaps the local club in Ft. Wayne he raced with has them.

Mark; the body you have is indeed the 365P2 long tail, and probably the Lancer version shown in the link in Mike's post. The NART version had a long tail designed by the Drogo brothers.

365P in it's original configuration

365p.JPG

365 P2 long tail. Usually called the 365 NART. Notice the louvers in the tail.

365p2lt.JPG

Different configurations could be done simply by changing body sections. Here is David Piper's car as a Spyder, with the roof section removed. He also had a slightly longer tail section built.

365p2dp.JPG

Mark; The car you show in your post #7 is a 512S long tail.

And why is that? I've bitched to Greg several times about it, and have yet to receive an answer (sorry about the hijack, Mark).

Thanks Dave,as always,a wealth of knolage.
Mike, I've also address this and,by dumb luck, found (sometimes) you can retrieve the content by the use of Google lenz.
Thanks Martin, yes, yes I did. Supprised that it went for over$40 but,by avoiding brothels, opium parlours, casinos and, other dens of iniquity, it was affordable 😂.The photos are much appreciated 👍. I have a Patrica chassis like the one you posted. Not sure if silver is going on it,NART livery seems like a winner.
All in favor,?

Not sure about this one either. Seem kinda funny that,if you look closely,it has ten(10) induction stack holes. Chaparral , 512-M? or, D ,none of the above.

Post #14 looks like the MAC Ferrari 512 that Mark Donahue drove for Penske.

The Mark Donohue era Ferrari 512 body wasn't as smooth sided, had a lot more "doo dads", and didn't have the 5 holes per side.

As Mark guessed, it's a Chapparal 2F.

Better photos of the slot car body would have helped!

Yep Chaparral 2F.  Its the Dynamic handling body. Super slammed. :good: Love it.

The 5 holes are just to move air. It has a Chevy V8.

As always,if it's Dynamic, Martin is the man 👍. I know it will look a lot better with a wing. If I'm driving it, it's guaranteed to be airborne. Not sure if it's what Jim Hall had in mind when he designed the wing.
Thanks for the pictures MikeS.

PS: with the identity of this one confirmed, I don't need many more Dynamic bodies for the nine(9) BigZ chassis! I will need about nine (teen) more years to finish em!

I built a 2F a few years ago using a re-pop body on a jaildoor-style chassis. Don't have pictures and I believe it is packed up already.

O/S did a repop of the 2F. I raced one in GT Coupe at the R4 one year. I painted mine orange!

Thanks Dave, I was expecting you to say you build 1/1 2F !!!

That would be more up Martin's alley. When I first got into vintage racing, I pulled  nose and rear body sections for an Elva MK-8 from the molds a friend had for his car. I was going to build a V-8 powered version, much like the original McLaren-Elvas. But the parts ended up on another Mk-8 that was being restored at the time.

I should get another 2F body to replace the one on my slot car. It has "pimples" on it from the mold not being blown off before the pull was done. Every bit of dust that was on the mold shows in the body. I forget exactly if I got the body from Ray Price or Dave Fiedler. Don't know who made the body.
