I'd have great difficulty overriding the Gomez Addams effect if I tried trains.
I'll elaborate tomorrow on what I did and didn't do. I'm collaborating with Martin on building a Q-36 modulator. I have to find out if he commandeered the iridium. Then it's

If you paint directly in-between the speakers, the sound will spread the paint evenly but, only if it's turned up to 12
And only if you are spraying from the Back of the speakers to the Front of the speakers.... Little added Oomph from the sound.
Started racing slot cars back at the old Grand Avenue Raceway on Grand Ave. in Chicago, Illinois.
Started with Group 12, moved up to Group 27 and Open.
Still have my two cars and over a dozen arms.
Just recently discovered a track local to me and am looking forward to meeting up with the old timers and new people in the hobby.

Stick some dirty object in a bowl of water between the speakers & you've got an ultrasonic cleaner Breeze.
I intend to live forever! So far, so good.

Ok, now what?
Mark, give it an acid bath & then see if the paint sticks. Did you use primer? Something you used doesn't with something else you did or used.
I intend to live forever! So far, so good.

Do a...d? Then play the White album @78 speed backwards? Ok,if it'll get the paint to stick.
Don't do it! The demonic chants you will hear will cause you to commit suicide.
Just out of curiosity, are you washing the bodies before painting with any kind of detergent? Might be leaving some kind of residue afterwards.

Would that be LEEDS Mark

Good luck with the paint, you know my advise, mechanical tooth, as in 400 to 600 grit, then a good primer base. Keeping all steps clean.
I am not a painter and my projects are mostly out of a rattle can. But admire your endeavor. Rock on Mark.

Here's the inline filter and, another good shot of the grafting.
Letting the Who smash things up saved me a lot of money on this one. I'm thinking King Crimson USA for this next excercise in frustration.

At this point, Mark, I'm going to say it's the paint. Shoot the body with rattle can Testor's black lacquer and see if it takes. If it sticks, you can do your other masking and painting over that. Plenty of time to practice techniques later.
For those who missed out by being born too late, or just too sensible; (best viewed with a tab of blue cheer acid)

And, of course, King Crimson;

The Passhae spits more than a cheap date. There Web site is a enigma. This project is starting to emulate the real one. Maybe yellow Corvairs aren't meant to be painted silver/grey?
I shot the stripes earlier today. I'll post some pictures shortly.
By chance, I do have a can of Patrica black laqour. It's like spraying roofing tar.

That Pactra black lacquer is probably out of shelf life and won't mix anymore. I like Testor's better anyway, but since Rustoleum has shut that down, finding some colors is real hard. Walmart bought up some large quantities of Testor's paint that was sitting in warehouses, as did an Amazon supplier. I have started using Tamya paints, which have become my second choice. But they don't have anything really glossy, so I still have to overcoat with Glosscoat. Their Lexan paints are real good.

Evidently, the effects of Easy Money (King Crimson)@175 Watts caused the disintegration of the boundary layer that was preventing adhesion{🚫🐂💩}.
I hope.
The amount of harder seems to effect the drying time and also the level of shineyness. It could also be the Friptronics that not only dulled the paint but simultaneously caused it to adhere. I have a VHS of Black Oak Arkansas and King Crimson from a 70's tour. Kind of a odd combination but, Hendricks toured with: hay hay it's the Monkeys. Proving once again," When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro". Or is it, they turn up Hendricks to drown out the moron playing the Monkeys. Idgaf as long as the paint sticks!

170 posts & we still don't have a primer that sticks. What does that tell you?
I intend to live forever! So far, so good.

What a learning experience this turned out to be. Hope I saved someone from living this nightmare. Speaking of which, it's Pink Floyd: Piper at the Gates of Dawn, music for a good nights sleep.(if it's loud enough.)
