Sand the inside with steel wool and then a tooth brush, dish soap and warm water.

Been a year since I posted here.
Lots painted in that time, mostly posted in individual threads so I won't cover old ground.
But just finished two Porsche 908 Spyder bodies.

When things get slow I start pulling out old projects I started a while back and make an attempt to finish them.
Since the estimated cost of getting my wagon out of the shop is thirtyone hundred now... they are going to be for sale.
This project began couple years ago when Victor from Truescale sent me a Ferrari 550 GTS body, interior, masks and a wing.
Its such a beautiful body that I ordered some decals from Patto's and set about building a chassis.
The chassis cut body and decals then sat in a cigar box since 2013 or so.
Anyway someone provided the wheel inserts. It's been so long that I forget who, but the wheels are ProSlot.
Most of the chassis are left over from my racing days. I think the pan is from truck racing and the longer pillow blocks from another chassis so I could run 1" dia tires.
Took a lot of time to paint all that black trim. Some mornings my hands are not steady enough, but later in the afternoon... much better.
Rear wing is molded in two pieces of clear which I painted black and then wrapped a strip of carbon fiber decal around it. Almost a model kit in itself!
Fin.

Good use of an old JK Millenium chassis. Gives me some ideas on what to use them for.

Paul, they were consigned by Scott Myers and are his. Sorry, sir, but you would have to take that up with him.

Sheraton-Thompson Hawk-Ford, I believe.
Nope.

Yes, Al Dean was the entrant of record for Mario's 1965 Indy "500" attempt. It was one of five cars to finish on the same lap with the winner.

Painted a new one today. This is going to France for a Russkit collector who loves everything Russkit. It's a Porsche 906 Spyder which was cut down from a coupe by the owner.
And that is all...
