In this unpublished picture taken by the NSA during a Domerstic-Spying session in Oakland, mayor Gavin Newsom is being given the Peace Treatment by city councilman Gerardo Sandoval, while Al Franken is exercising his constitutional right to do any minor he wants.

One can only preach so much to the choir, at which point the choir listens no more.
The advertisers are deserting that ship faster than Soros can write checks to plug the holes.

Just in time for the 2nd leg of the proxy Thingie race: another outstanding entry is the "fast and scratchbuilt" cat by Lowrider, from England:
26D Mabuchi, brass chassis with Dynamic inline motor mount and a Lancer Hornet (repop) body!
Still waiting for Endbell's Shinodas and 2 more entries from GB.
Endless happiness in Thingie country

Especially when someone from Chocoland mixes a Lancer Hornet with a BZ "Banshee"Dokk, don't you hate when people mix slotcars with politics!

I, too, have been "experimenting" w/ 26D's in thingie frames. I've got to the point where they are almost as fast as some of my fastest 16Ds.
Why did the 26Ds disappear from the scene so quickly? :? :?

Tom, down in the trenches the 26D didn't disappear all that fast! We used 'em for a relatively long time, because they were cheap and fast, and we (the people...) weren't going to compete with Steube and Cukras anyway...
And they had a second (and third) life in some of the Riggen and other RTR cars....

A modified Champion frame (no, that's NOT my sloppy soldering...all I did was clean it up) with a HEAVILY modified Champion 26D, "experimental" 26D arm by tjsguns.
For such a heavy frame this one ran at WARP speed during the road test and handled VERY well. No, it won't be entered this year.

Tom8) 8) I predict that the Banshee will kick butt!! VERY nice job on that frame!!
indeed, from informal preliminary test, the Banshee does indeed look very fast even on my 24m Carrera!
More pictures of extraordinary new Thingies coming soon!

Can we see the top of Lowriders Banshee chassis, please?
Looks like some "hinging" might be going on there!
Or did he "Iso"-ize it?

Hi Deuce
I am already having nightmares about going to the Post office and send back all those beauties. Maybe SwissPost will go on strike for years to come and nothing will be able to leave... 8)
Anyway, here's Endbell's delicately painted Mongoose all ready to go (you can see the Shrike body in the background which will be assembled soon (what responsibility!!!):
You should see it run!
2 days to the 2nd proxy Thingie race!!!

the Pocket Rocket (from a Swissracer's idea) done by Howmet:
Classic 26D on Dynamic frame, Howmet's brass pans:
And a mysterious driver:
La Cacarucha (here in Coral snake evening dress):
Brass chassis with 29K Slot.it motor:
36 hours to the 2nd proxy race!
