Thanks for your perspective Don! As a thingies proxy participant since day one , & winner of year 2 open class, you have seen it all. You are still here for the love of the game. Some times your cars have done well, some times they haven't, but you still build & race. Bravo!!!

We all have a learning curve be it NASA or Hollywood or world leaders. There is generally a few mistakes made before one can successfully pull off any thing new. And it is the same with Jordi in Spain with the next leg of the Proxy race 2011... THE DYNAMIC CHALLENGE Race #7 in Barcelona Spain. Jordi has selected another track and this one more to the liking of most of you guys.... routed wood and 8-lanes:

Scheduled date is January 21 of 2012.
No, I do not know if it will be live on the Internet.
As before, I will relay any info Jordi posts on Facebook to Slotblog and Slotforum.

Thanks for the news Jairus, and thanks for the nice comment Mac - I hadn't seen it at the time! (it's nice of you to remember, but it was also Gene Adams who built the chassis and most of the car that year - kind of like having Jim Hall in your pits!).

My belief in magic is now confirmed. As I mentioned at the time, my laptop died when the GPU overheated while editing the video. The likely culprit was a dry solder joiunt on the back of the GPU. Following the advice of a Youtube contributor I cut a hole the size of the GPU in a piece of foil covered cardboard, pulled out the motherboard, put the cardboard over the motherboard so just the back of the GPU was showing and aimed a heat gun at it until the cardboard burst into flames. I put it back together and it works. I must be magic.

Looks like it's hopping around....may have a bent axle, those threaded ones bend easy.
I know it's not a great handler anyway. Paint job looks good, that's the main thing LOL

Could be weight, could be rubber, could be the track surface.... who knows. Almost impossible to build for all conditions.
I say "almost" because ol'Low seems to have been able to get very close...

OK. You caught me out. Not all the scenes are in order. I mixed clips from different times and angles to avoid jump cuts. It was either that, use dissolve and other transitions (which I loathe) or make you sit through the whole two hours unedited. This time I decided to edit for highlights rather than documentary accuracy. Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Next time I'll use two cameras so I can avoid jump cuts and still maintain the sequence. I might even do a little back story. I'm thinking of calling it "Race Addict". Sorry Edo :-)

for having a last place finish,his car(Barneys Orange Crate) looked pretty damn competitive to me,wassup ( im not backing away,id like to know),cause my car didnt do any good there either,,and hmmmm only 1 race to see,
