The chassis's nice too. LOL

After checking the weight of a complete car, we will do some weight reduction, if necessary.

Kamo-san has also finished another Can-Am ride for me to race at Retro Palooza 3.
Based on his D3 Kamo-Speed chassis, this IRRA version has .062 main-rails instead of .055" of the D3 version with thicker & bigger(heavier) front & rear pans to meet IRRA 100g minimum weight rule.
Now I have got 2 lethal weapons for Retro Palooza 3.

Thanks a lot for your warm support.
I am now on vacation, out of Tokyo until Sunday.
I will start building Can-Am & F-1, at least one of each, by myself for Retro Palooza 3, I hope.
Or......will ask Kamo-san to build to my won design & specs........!?
Good Racing,
Haruki

A narrow version on the left in the first picture is 52.5g, while a wider version weighs 57.1g including a JK front axle. The complete cars are expected to weigh 97.3g and 101.9g respectively. The narrow version needs some lead weights to clear the minimum weight of 100g required by IRRA.

Is not the wide chassis a "CENTER HINGED CHASSIS" ?
I think the "Bitebar" would stop any rotation that center wire would have ?
I think it's leagal, but it is not my call, just my opinion. fwiw

Presently a center piano-wire is free to move in the tube fixed onto the nose-piece.
The bite bar restricts the movement of the center section but if I put a flexible one or thinner one, the center section is movable more.
In that sense, it would be better to solder the wire to the tube to fix it solid.
Thank you for very good suggestions.

It doesn't matter if it's a well funtioning center hinge. LOL
It's still a center hinge and has to be clearly "locked up".

Kamo-san soldered the hinge look-alike rigid, so no more problem.
Noose have sent me a photo of his great paint job for me in progress.

I found the orange-purple one so unique and beautiful, too.
BTW, the Monster Machine is helping a lot breaking-in PS motors for Retro Palooza.
Thanks a lot!

The complete car would weigh a little bit heavier than 100g.
Kamo-san shaved off some brass from the center bars of K&S .062 by his famous sculpture machine to reduce some weight.
The 7/32" front axle tube carries ball-bearings.

Another fantastic effort by Kamoshita!! I know you plan on attending some IRRA races in the Eastern USA soon. Make sure the little milled slots in the center brass pieces are legal as the IRRA rules are very different from D3/SCRRA as the IRRA may not allow machined or ground frame parts. Good luck and have fun as the races are great!!

I have just got an answer from Noose about the center bars of the chassis.
He says it is OK for IRRA.
Thanks a lot for your good advice.
I am a little behind the schedule for the preparation for Retro Palooza 3.
Hoping to finish setting up the cars for this weekend to test at my speedway.
Right after our Tokyo D3 monthly race on Sunday, I will leave Tokyo for New York on Monday for Retro Palooza.
This evening I painted a couple of bodies while breaking-in PS4002B-B.
Up to now, I haven't got a sweet motor.
Good Racing,
Haruki

These Ti's are the bodies for testing the cars here in Tokyo.
Noose will bring the bodies of flames to Port Jefferson.
Until then I will use my cold metal bodies. They are a kind of invisible, good for testing!!!
