Yes, they have raced on it and apparently the track is bedding in very nicely with some very good times being posted.
Butch races on it with a group of friends who regularly compete on several tracks in his area. It's all very informal and he told me he is really enjoying slot car racing again.

There are lots of people who race slot cars together who also hold vastly different opinions on life. That doesn't stop them from sharing the hobby, nor does it qualify one or the other as a jerk.
I don't recall seeing any "conditions of entry" posters in any of the pictures I posted.

I have a question.
If a "big" boy leans in to marshall a car does the track move across the floor at all ?
Thanks and again a very nice build.

Willy think about it.....the track is painted "Red" and not "Blue"
Butch is not a jerk....just always "right" LOL
The only thing missing in the room is the "Elephant"
Maybe in time a bigger room will be built???
The guy with the helicopter is Scott Dick....... he had a raceway in Cinci for a short time in the mid 90's.

It's Scott from Cincinnati. I can tell you that Butch is one of the nicest guys you would ever meet. He is a Master Craftsman and no one would take as much time to build a track like his. Butch built me a tri-oval for my home and has been flawless for the last 15 years. His new track is a lot of fun and as you can see he did a wonderful job on the room as well.
Take Care,
Scott Dick

Sorry it took me so long to respond. This is the first time in months I have been on the site.
I do race on Butch's track quite a bit. We have a series with about 16 people and also race at Ross's. I usually fly to Butch's if the weather permits. I also like digital Carrera racing.
I have a 115 foot track at my home.
Take care,
Scott Dick

For those of you who wonder why I haven't posted in this thread until now it's because I took a leave of absence from Slotblog for awhile. I had a little disagreement with one of the monitors over something real petty on my part but it's all history now so I'm back. Us-hard headed Irishmen are like that.
For updated pictures of what my track and raceway look like now just go to this LINK.

If one doesn't run afoul of the local constabulary once in a while, ya just ain't livin', right Butch?
Remember, two wrongs don't make a right... but three lefts do! Only you're a block over and a block behind.
