Fourth Annual Checkpoint Cup - discussion thread

We'll have a live webcast all three days.
I'll have box plaques (similar to our recent Hardbody Nats) for each race participant.
The podium plaques will also be similar to those awarded at the Hardbody Nats.
Anyone have good race car photos (F1, Can Am, Coupe, NASCAR, Jail Door, etc.)?
For those attending the Checkpoint Cup, please use the new RSVP feature on the Calendar.
Stay tuned,
Keith

The Retro Pro race will now be run last on Friday (instead of third race of the day).
The Jail Door race will follow the NASCAR race on the Flat track.
This change was made to accomodate the live webcast. The less movement of webcast equipment, the better.
Sorry about this late change. The Retro Pro racers will have more time to prepare for their race which will be the
last race on Friday evening.

The coupe race on friday follows the first race of the day, NASCAR.And the coupes following the Jail door?
Jail Door race follows the Coupe race, then the last race of the day, Retro Pro (King track).

The race fees for last year's Checkpoint Cup were: $15, $12, $10, $8
All 4 races on Friday would be $45
Saturday is $15
Sunday will be $15, $12, $10
D3 race fees are paid directly to Paul Sterrett, who in turn pays the track.

Jay Kisling was practicing with his Retro Pro and it is already fast, circulating in the 3.4's, but Bob Crane had his super-light rocket (68 grams!) at 3.28".
Tracy Chin has now covered thousands of test laps on the flat track and should be terrorizing everyone there.
Howie had his NASCAR Warmack machine flying. Haruki is getting to grips with the King track and was doing OK with his new car.
Tom Hansen is trying to figure out which way to go but was not doing to bad.
Yours Truly tried his cars and hey, what the heck, Que Sera, Sera!
