Silicone tires...
That sux...
Not really....!
The 180' Englemen has Magna-traction braid and and some cars with magnets benefit from that particular braid type. My cars do not use magnets ever, but the surface and rules are non-glue so lightweight silicone covered foam tires are the rule.
For the Proxy I have Russkit repo-wheels built by Arodyn for Electric Dreams with JK Natural rubber tires.

Every Car Model mag and every Model Car Science mag shows the use of a screw and washers in 1970 being universally applied. No nuts!

The Mura C motor is turning out to be the most popular by far!
12 total entries with 3 that I know of in the wings.
2 D-cans and one or two B-cans with not a Pittman in sight this time.

It's a bit agricultural, but it's the sort of thing I built many moons ago.

Si and we have had helically screwed nuts for generations previous. But were they used on guide flags in 1970 Bob? Can you show me an example?

Just sayin .... I mean showin.

I've just pulled the first body, so here are some pics. I may give this rough pull a quick coat of paint and enter it over in the other thread as is, but I'm hoping to produce a nice paint job on the final bod (if that is OK with Jairus) otherwise I am pushing it timewise.
So this body is available to anyone. Just let me know if you'd like one. I know that it is late in the day, and if this becomes a reason to outaw the body then I will enter the chassis with one of Ray's bodies on instead. (that's if the chassis isn't outlawed as well lol.)
so, the pics.
Wheels by Kai (The rears are riggen here, but will be swapping them out I think)
Motor 16D by Havlicek, #27 wind, Mura B endbell, Parma EPX magnets, Gold Dust brushes (cant remember what make of can).
Jet Flag,
28t Pink Parma Crown (dyed). 7t brass pinion.
Rehco bracket fitted with ball race bearings.
Body by yours truly.
Paint still in the rattle can.
Weight...Yet to be determined.
Please be gentle.

Great to see your still on,
for a minute you had me scared there as i just joined in the fun after you posted and didn't hear a thing anymore.
Would be great to race along side you this proxy.
I love too have 2 bodies too, it looks fantastic mate.
You really did a fine job there, and anybody saying different has no taste.
Can pay with Paypal or any other form.
What is the name of that body?
Looking forward to it all.

If you need a day or two to finish Al, Granted!
I said the same to Edo and will provide Tony P some extra time as well to receive the body Noose is painting.
Get them done and posted soon as possible guys.
Mailing address for the first race is:
Randy Tragni
1455 Hanchett Ave.
San Jose, CA 95126
Randy suggests shipping via PRIORITY MAIL. This way they can be tracked by the senders and Randy does not have to sign for them since he is at work when the mail is delivered. Insurance coverage is up to the individual.
It's okay to post them when ever you feel is necessary to arrive in time. Foreign entries might want to send a week sooner than domestic entries.
First race will be at Eddies Slot World September 30th.
Most of the entrants who have posted their entries on the "Cars Thread" have already paid entry fees and I have collected T-shirt sizes from them as well.
But this is a reminder to those who are not entering, that you too can purchase a t-shirt for the low price of $20.00 (shipping in the U.S. included) I will be ordering and printing shirts during the next two weeks. The hopes are to get all the entrants shirts out in the mail before the first race. There will be only one printing this time, but I will print a few extra L, XL and 2X shirts just in case.
Okay that is all for now. Happy Sunday everyone!

Holey nut Bob, that's a nice chassis.
Yep, gotta agree with Jairus, nice work Al.
Love the body. It looks a bit Morganesqueish, but definitely a thingie. It'll look good screamin around the track.
Nice classic Choti Mike.
Great collection of cars we're gathering here.

That will make printing easy at least.
Today is the last day to post... however, I did grant a couple people a few extra days so don't get your panties in a bunch if cars show up on the thread a little late. But we will not allow anyone to race that has not been viewed by the other entrants soooo... don't bother sending if you have not posted please.
