Now there is nothing more for me to do but sit, wait and hope it all goes as planned.

This is one area where you and I differ.

Questions and Clarifications :

C -Randy transports the cars to the track from his home....Thought they where shipped to the racetrack....in both cases i see no possible problems***

Q -Randy - Will you be home on Friday 9/28 to sign for a Fed-Ex or UPS Red package?..Call or e-mail Randy to be sure he seen your question.

Q -Jairus, Randy, Barney - How will we be updated on the event(s) progression - eg. LiveStreaming, Slotblog, facebook, other?..When they have time i assume they will post it.

Q - Jairus, Randy, Barney - Who is chartered with taking video, still pictures and race reports?.....The person holding the camera at that time.

Q - How and when do the cars get from Randy/Eddies to Barney for the BPR race?.....As fast and safe as possible.

Q - What is the protocol as it pertains to practice of the cars........they all get to practice a bit.

Q - How many power on minutes per lane in the race?....Around 2minutes from what i have seen.

I know it does not help much but i hope it helps a little in answering questions.

Has anyone around here ever managed people or projects bigger then a slot car proxy race? Oh darn...another question.

Those are all valid questions in the 'real world'.

Bob, my answer is YES, MUCH LARGER. But...this is still a slot car race, to put it in perspective. I don't plan on elevating my BP one point over it. Even if the mail truck flattens my car or if some poor drivers walls it somewhere along the way. Of course your questions are valid, but this isn't Jairus's first rodeo, so try to just let it happen and let's not pretend it's the last Chase race with millions on the line, it just isn't.

with i guess no option to vote for yourself.

Between the races is about 3 weeks time and I had planned on posting a poll where the members of slotblog can vote. Not sure what the "award" will be tho...

I read in this thread i think that Edo would do the judging or maybe the participants themselves,

But i maybe wrong and missed something somewhere so do not pin me down on it,
although i am pretty sure i am not far off from it.

It Would be very nice to have The King select the favorite.
Judging by the participants is how we do it in IRRA regional Retro racing.
One other option that Jairus mentioned he was considering is to set up a voting poll. This could include any member of slotblog to get a broader audience and perspective from Slotters' in HO scale all the way up to Wing car racers.

Shhhh.....Don't tell anyone but ..... I would pick Al Bonds car.

I love my shirt. Thx Jairus. Rather than poll builders or all of slotblog on concours, let the proxy drivers vote anonymously. After all, they get to see the actual cars, not some creative photography.
