I don't always go the extra mile, but when I do it's because I missed my exit.
All my life I've strived to keep from becoming a millionaire, so far I've succeeded.
There are three kinds of people in the world, those that are good at math and those that aren't.
No matter how big of a hammer you use, you can't pound common sense into stupid people, believe me, I've tried.

Remember, two wrongs don't make a right... but three lefts do! Only you're a block over and a block behind.

I know you don't yet know the exact time schedule for the the various races but I'd like to make one suggestion for us "out-of-towners". Please try to start the races on Sunday as early as possible. I'm sure there are quite a few, like Greg and I, that have got to make a flight or get on the road at a reasonable time Sunday to make it back to our jobs on Monday. Thanks!

faster watching 2-3 cars running together for four or five laps.
(Or maybe it was the six straight days of Fettucini Alfredo for dinner. )

I've had the track done for a few weeks but I wanted to spiff things up a bit around the raceway before I posted more pictures. I'll get to a bunch more but in the meantime, for you old timers, here is "Car Model Corner", named after my favorite "reading" material when I was 14 (that mags that didn't have bunny ears on them ).
Special thanks to Jackie S. for doing the "clean up", reduction, and printingon this project for me.

The place in the picture is still in business (been there for years) but the only indication
of its name was on the dumpster. (Big hint - scratchbuilder's shrine.)

PS: It's not Kester (solder), they're also in the Chicago area (around the corner from Koford's last Chicago location).

Tony,
Unless the East Coast had an alternative to this company, I'm pretty sure you spent quite a bit of time going through their racks in the '60s.

Tony,
How many profanities did you mutter back in the day from brass in the wrong box or wire in the wrong tube?
