I can not post to slot b. My vote is yes to Al getting new shoes and race @ BP

Please give a thanks to all and yourself J. What great fun! Onward!

What a lovely start to my day to read all your supportive posts. You guys are great. Thanks one and all.

"OK by me. I'll provde a selection of 1/8 axle tires to Barney and he can choose and replace. Looks like Al used Russkit re-pops and i have two pair of those.....no need to mail anything."

Thanks for that offer Mike K. I'm sure Barney is getting used to repairing my cars. X-calibre did have some Russkits on to start with, but when I tech'd the car I found that they had been sized/trued slightly too small and the gear was a smidge to low. (I don't have a feeler gauge so teching was done with a 1/16 piano wire rod so who knows how accurate that was, maybe I could've got away with it) So I swapped them out and put Blacklight's old boots on instead, they seemed in good order and were the perfect dia. Who'd've known the glue was about to give out, after all the heats in the Dynamic proxy. Well we live and learn. Time to invest in a tyre truer, me thinks, so I can glue and true my own tyres in the future.

See you all on the track at BP.

You are sending just tires Al? Better talk that out with Barney. Because I would rather you run slight smaller diameter wheels than require Barney to have to glue and true for you.
I was expecting a simply fix with a set screw. So just send the first set of wheels please. Because now after one race all the cars will be under the limit slightly if they were built to the limit!

Hey Al lets just find you a set of tires and rims to run here.... I will take care of you. What type of rubber were you running? We can just take care of it from this side of the Pond.

J, I think some confusion has crept in here.

I have a pair of shod Russkits which I can send out. These are the wheels I started out with that are a little undersize. That would be a simple switch for Barney. I do not have any unmounted tyres.

Then Mike said " I'll provde a selection of 1/8 axle tires to Barney and he can choose and replace. Looks like Al used Russkit re-pops and i have two pair of those.....no need to mail anything ." and as Mike is closer to the action I think that is the easier and quicker option.

So if Mike can get the wheels/tyres to Barney and X-calibre is sent along with the other cars I think we are covered. Yes?

Thanks also to Oscar for his offer of tyres.

Wow the Thingie Brotherhood.

Al.

EDIT: Barney, I was posting at the same time... I'll leave it in your capable hands...Many thanks. The tyres that got away were Alpha Pirhana. The ones I have here are JKs. It doesn't matter to me what you put on, I'm just pleased to be back in the game. Many thanks.

Yes, but he has not mailed the car anywhere yet.
All the entries are currently on their way to Barney.
X-Caliber is on hold on Randy's kitchen table. He will sent it along later this week.

If the tire that came off the rim is still in good shape, I can try to re-glue it. Barney can get the tires to me the week before the race if needed.

I can re-glue it but then it may not be true so..... and it may take too much tire off then.... I think if Mike has tires (I'm sure they are true) I can just use them to make it easy. Randy said the cars are due here Thursday. He can send Al's car when he can and I'll take care of it.
