Only 2 more races...

Then last round in New Zealand, date tba.

Mailed on Monday, should be there this Friday or next Monday. Plenty of time.
As for cars being okay. I believe they are in great condition. Nothing broke and all are in good order. But check them for your track surface anyway.

Thanks for the heads up Steve

I've been through all the cars, and most were ok, just needed a bit of a clean and a drop of oil here and there.
All motors sound strong, so none being replaced at this stage.
Some needed braids and/or tires.
Some needed guide height adjustment for our track.
A couple need a touch with an iron, but are all now ready for a short track test next Wednesday.
I'll let you know how they go.

Steve, It sounds like you have it all covered...
Thank You

OK, I had some quality time with the cars last night, and here are my impressions;
4.450 - Team Evil Minnows
Motor good, gearing good, reasonably planted but a bit tail happy, good to drive.
Maybe a bit light in the rear.
4.463 - Team Lowrider
Motor good, gearing good, planted, no problems, nice to drive.
4.523 - Team WSC
Motor good, gearing good, reasonably planted but a bit tail happy, good to drive.
4.525 - John Dilworth
Motor good, gearing good, planted, no problems, nice to drive.
This car should be further up leader board.
4.549 - Team REM
Motor good, gearing good, planted, no problems, nice to drive.
4.562 - Ben Kernan
Motor good, gearing good, planted, no problems, nice to drive.
I would leave the bite bar unsoldered.
4.595 - Team last minute Men
Motor good, gearing good, planted, no problems, nice to drive.
Gears a bit noisy, but axle clearance and gear mesh OK.
4.595 - Team Lo Bucks
Motor good, gearing good, planted, no problems, nice to drive.
4.604 - Mike Zimmerman
Motor good, gearing good, planted, no problems, nice to drive.
Gears a bit noisy, but axle clearance and gear mesh OK.
4.605 - Team Weldon/Walker
Motor fast, gearing good, quite loose, OK to drive.
Maybe a bit light in the rear.
4.687 - Rod Morrison
Motor good, gearing good, planted, no problems, nice to drive.
4.697 - Andy Brown-Searle
Motor good, gearing good, quite loose, OK to drive.
Maybe a bit light in the rear.
4.703 - Pablo Wolcott
Motor good, gearing good, reasonably planted but a bit tail happy, good to drive.
Maybe a bit light in the rear.
4.770 - Team SSME
Motor good, gearing good, reasonably planted but a bit tail happy, good to drive.
Maybe a bit heavy in the front, and could use more downforce on rear.
4.776 - Jaak BK
Motor good, gearing a bit short, planted, no problems, nice to drive.
Car is a bit sluggish to get going out of the corners even with low gearing.
Maybe just a tad heavy.
4.779 - Al Bond
Motor good, gearing a bit short, planted, no problems, nice to drive.
4.803 - Tony Davey
Motor good, gearing good, reasonably planted but a bit tail happy, good to drive.
4.804 - Jim Struckel
Motor good, gearing a bit short, planted, no problems, nice to drive.
4.852 - Ray Fellows
Motor fast, gearing good, quite loose, OK to drive.
4.980 - Gary Vogeler
Motor good, gearing good, quite loose, OK to drive.
I did a 10 lap run with each car and recorded the best time for each with these results.
Overall, a great bunch of cars and fun to drive, even the ones that are a bit loose.
Motors are all strong, but Ray's and Weldon/Walker motors appear to be the fastest.
Should be good racing on Sunday.
edit: This testing was done @ 12v, and we inadvertently left it that way for our S16D flexi Sedan race, and we were only getting into the mid 4.5 second range. So these thingies are quick.

If all goes to schedule, the race should finish by 2pm on Sunday;
and I will try to post results as soon as I get home.

OK, the race has been run and won. Sorry for taking so long to post the results. All the guys hung around for ages checking out the cars, and discussing the cars. I'll post the results now just so we can all see them, and I'll post laps times and photo's tomorrow with a few more observations. All cars came through unscathed, and will only need minor servicing before dispatching to NZ.
The 'laps' column is obvious, but the 'Time' column probably needs an explanation
This represents the time taken for the car to cross the finish line after the end of the last 2 minute bracket.
Hope that makes sense.
