Looks like a work of art. You'll be able to race some really fast cars on that track. Let us know what kind of lap times you're turning.

Hi Pablo,
Standing at the drivers stand the cars go from left to right.
Is the cat preggers ?
Preggers.... He's just a big boy. We rescued him from the shelter about a year ago. He was the biggest cat there with short legs and a big body and head. He can stand up on his hind legs and put his front paws on the kitchen counter.

Will hot vintage cars punch the bank on all lanes ?
Knowing Greg G's track which is somewhat similar in certain ways, it looks to me like 2 marshalls will be enough, one on each end, and the drivers can marshal cars that deslot in front of them, in BOTH sections within reach.

That looks REALLY nice! Gary did a great job.
Congrats, I hope you enjoy it for years to come.

Thanks Dennis!
I'm not sure about punching the bank on all lanes with vintage cars yet Pablo. The "Loaner Cars" I got from Mike Swiss will at 10 volts. I'm using them to "clean out the slots". Gary did the fastest lap with one at 3.1 seconds.

The track AND man room look really great!!!! Enjoy your new toy!!!
Posted 10 October 2013 - 06:51 PM
Awesome!!!!! The track looks right at home , at home Like the room was made for it
Your cars look just SO right sitting on the track, especially the Lotus 19 with Pitt 6001 in it! Silly question but have you tried some of your Mura B & C can powered "Pro cars" yet Rick ?

I haven't run a lot of my cars yet. Most of my cars are still boxed up from my move to Oregon. I didn't want to hang their wall mounted acrylic displace cases until the track was in place so I'd know where they fit best. I need to do that next so I can get to the darn cars! I also want to run mostly the new "loaner cars" to clean out the slots and break in the track.
I spent some time puttying, sanding and painting some boo boos on the tracks wall joints. Stuff happens when the sections go through all the loading, unloading and transported almost 2000 miles. It's such a nice track it deserves to look its best.........not to mention it's in my living room

Thanks guys
Since there are no commercial tracks within hours of me I'm thrilled to have my own smaller version. It's a very fast and smooth track. Gary Gerding did a great job building it. Rodney did a great job on the design. The big banked turn at the end of the main straight is like a continuation of the straightaway. You can really get the cars moving without worrying about braking in the straight for a flat turn. Fun stuff!
