Therefore, Dave Fiedler is not only the "Sanoest Dude in America" but also the "Most Wickedest Sano Slot Racer on the Planet". He's also richer by $500, having won $250 for the lowest average finish in the four races but snagged $250 more for besting the best of the best.
I'll be posting more pictures and stuff in the days to come, as things have been so fast and furious here today that I have been run ragged just trying to keep up with the results from the races.
If you were thinking of coming to Da Sano and decided not to for any reason below multiple broken bones and/or extended hospitalization, you simply blew it. This was the best slot racing event I've ever attended, on virtually every level: quality of racing, quality of racers, friendly interaction among the competitors, and FUN! Mike described Da Sano as a party with the lap counter on and that's as accurate a description as any.
Hey, Mike, when's the NEXT Sano??
Now that the event is over, Mike Swiss says he wants to go somewhere where there are no slot cars (I suspect he means a place that serves adult beverages, in which case I'm following him!) and is running us out of the raceway. I have a bunch of more photos to post but they will have to wait until we get back to the sunny South.

Full Review from Beer Therapy (realbeer.com)
As promised last year, Lagunitas Brewing in California has released the second beer in its Frank Zappa series.
Kill Ugly Radio, featuring the inside album art from Zappa’s second album, Absolutely Free, is in stores now. Last year Lagunitas brewed Freak Out! to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the release of the first album by Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, and Kill Ugly Radio commemorates the 40th anniversary of the second.
Lagunitas founder Tony Magee obtained the permission of the Zappa Family Trust to use the original album art for both.
The beer itself? A hefty 7.8% and not surprisingly brimming with West Coast hops, a blast of citrus and Northwest pine, and unapologetic bitterness.
(Consumed during lunchtime at Palmer Place- I didn't see "Sam Adams" so I took a shot).
OK I take it back; what was inadvertantly revealed by the cashier at the LaGrange Ace Hardware was impressive, but only fleeting.

And California wine beats all that beer stuff.
MG, I think you had a beer too many. Don't let that favorite redhead know!

Seriously Larry - have you ever been to a classical music concert in your LIFE? (don't answer that - it's too easy just to say "yes" to save face).
Trying to feign snobbishness doesn't become you sir.

Yes I have been to (real) classicaL music concerts while in the Chicago area, since I was raised very near there too many years ago in Des Plaines. See all the smilies!! Lighten up, man.
Great show at the Sano!
Wish I could have made it there, but our friends we wanted to visit the week before, had to leave town because of a death in their family in Milwaukee, another beer town, the week before that. I'll buy you one next time.
