Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

I wanted to point out two great West Coast Stars that are sometimes overlooked, that is, unless you're a BPR local and they smoke you every month. these guys are Gary Donahoe and Jerry Johnson. Both Gary and Jerry are true old time slot racers... that race hard every lap, but treat others on the track with respect, and they are true gentlemen with class.
Gary had a great weekend at the Checkpoint making both the Can-Am and F1 podiums... and Jerry was the fastest guy in F1 just about every heat of the A Main but had a gear issue that hurt him.
I just wanted to point out these two racers and congratulate them on their great driving, and say that I'm proud to get to know and race with them both.
Thanks to all the racers at the Checkpoint!Take care all...

Thank you, Nesta and Bryan, for the wonderful pictures that will be coming the next few days, thank you to the Wattersons and the Buena Park employees that helped make this event run smoothly, Eddie and Jeff, and big thanks to John Cukras, John Wakamatsu, Sam Rackham, Hector Gonzales and of course, Bryan Warmack, without whom there would have been no race...
Thanks to Philippe for coming out to do tech Saturday and Sunday, to T.J and Jerry for bringing the naphtha and cleaning the tracks, and for all that volunteered in cleaning and prepping the tracks, staying very late Friday night especially...
Thank you, FlyGirl and Nesta, for the wonderful race posters, and to all that donated time to help make the weekend run smoothly...
Hope all of you may come out to be with us next year, and come on out to our next big event, the Pete Zimmerman Festival of Speed!!!
