Video was challenging, but I did get one...Don's Ramcharger was my favorite with that Dyna power!

Gator Bob was no different than the others. Mesmerized by the 50 year old cars!

Thanks - it even impressed my wife!
Can't wait to hear the ET on my DynoCharger - wanted to compare it with the original RTR Roundup in Rod & Custom back in january 66, but turns out they couldn't get a time on the Dyno because not enough amps available...

Wow ... what a day, what'a race.
Congratulations to our 2014 Champ and 2015 overall winner. David Cummerow
WTG Don Siegel,
You hit on a very fast combination and Kenny Snodgrass gave it a great ride.
The car was smooth and very predictable, Kenny was cutting double 0 lights all day.
Everyone gets their time sheets in with their car.
I have a copy of each time slip and will post the ETs and MPH for the winners and some highlighted passes.

After Don's 'Stocker' beats all other Rods class winning cars that puts him up against David's winning Rail.
Kenny knew he was the underdog driving the full body Dodge and went red by .004
Great effort by Don and Kenny at the controls to make it to the Finals.

You're not kidding Bob, it was a Great Race!!!
Competition was tight with a strong field of cars and experienced drivers getting them down track.
A BIG shout out to Bob for organizing the event, you put a lot of time and effort into this race "Thank You", Charlie for his fine photography, Steve for his race directing and to Bill Pinch for hosting the event at The Raceway Biz. Thanks to all of you for making this a fun race, a great time was had by all!!!
And don't forget the sponsors for the award prizes, nice stuff!!!
Congratulations....to all the winners, there were some very close and exciting races. I had the honor of driving 3 cars during the event. David's "Smokin 1" rail, Don's black coupe rail and Bob E. "Kluck" the chicken Exb. rail.
David, That's one quick "Hot Rod". Enjoyed driving even though your rail blew the doors off of mine!!! Good Job!!!
Don your coupe was a little down on power but you made up for it with your Stock Eliminator. Man that Dodge really put on a show!!! (I got to get one of those Dyna's)
Bob E. What can you say about Kluck..... Lots of power but to much tire spin.
Paul E. The Inch Pincher was a hand full for Doug P. but his starting line control paid off and got you into the Winners Circle. Great Job.!!!
I also want to "Thank" the drivers who ran my cars. You all did a great job!!! There were some very close races where you came out on top. Like Don's Red Turbo vs Orange Comp Coupe....Red Turbo ran a 1.4570 @ 28.79. Orange Coupe ran 1.4480 @ 24.99. Wow that was close!!!
Sorry I didn't get the name of the driver for the Unlimited, Thank You.... .938
Thanks again to everyone.....it was a "Blast"

Wow!
Hey Kenny, thanks for the great driving on my Ramcharger, and you definitely made the right decision trying to shave it a bit against that bad rail!
Not all the Dyn-O-Chargers are that fast, but I tested the couple I had sitting around, and this one sounded the fastest - turns out I have a good ear! (especialy for a guy who's about as close to tone deaf as you can get, without actually being there!)
So,.. the Dyn-O-Charger really is the "fastest production slot car in the world", as MPC's ads used to say.
Thanks again to Bob for organizing this shebang and to all the drivers and other volunteers for pulling the trigger on our cars.

I hear ya Paul... actually, I saw one of the other cars had a Dyno also, so have to see how they did...
In fact, I originally prepared a Dyno with the Ram arm (recounted elsewhere here), but it just didn't seem that fast, and when I checked this one out, I said, "aha!" and forgot about the Ram....
Not really sure what can be done with the Dynos, except making sure the arm spins freely, the brushes are in shape (I think I put in an extra strong spring on this one - aha!). One of the first cars I restored over 15 years ago was an old Dyno frame and motor, but it just never had any punch. Got it rezapped by a guy in England on a trip, but that didn't seem to make much difference to tell the truth... Just picked up a remagnetizer myself, so I'll be experimenting with that - unfortunately, no track!

Bob E. ran a Dyno in his Sport Car and got the Class Win.

Beware of the "Lodex" monster magnets from another planet. ... sure worked great.
I had a pair that looked like I broke open an Etch-A-Sketch and dumped it on the motor.

Sorry it took me so long to chime in. I was off on a 1/1 racing adventure that was the most bizarre deal I have ever raced in, bar none. For details, check in at http://www.eaglefielddrags.com It is a completely unsanctioned 1/8 mile on an abandoned 127 acre ww2 training base. I'm not a real drag racer but I like to pretend...
I'd also like to echo all of Bill B's well written thank-yous. To Bob and Bill and Bill and Don and everybody else who drove or fixed my stuff, it is really appreciated. John H, for coming through with some great arms as always. I hope everyone in Florida had a great time and let's do it again. I have a personal goal that I am working on and it goes like this:
We all know of the famous Associated car that is featured here: http://www.teamassoc.../company_roots/
It went .93 for a full quarter on 36v. My goal is simple,I want to equal that time, or at least go under 1 second using only early 1960s technology, meaning primarily alnico magnets, no Mabuchi-style motors, no wheelie bars, and to do it on 16v or less. Needless to say, I have a long ways to go but I gotta try.

Unbelievable event Bob.
You done good.
Well done to all the entrants with great builds, organizers, sponsors and drivers.
I'm not really a slot car drag racer, but I certainly loved following this event and looking at the great cars.
Looking forward to seeing more great stuff in 2016.

Thanks for the comps guys .. it is a demanding job. I couldn't have pulled it off if it wasn't for the core crew.
Steve, Bill and Charlie. Thank you!!!
Better technology like live timing and scoring, ladder result print out, less data entry round by round and live streaming would top it off.
Steve keeping track of all those time slips is a challenge but he did a great job and time slips are in with the cars and I have his copies to post the best 'lap time' here publicly and give a 'fans impression'.

I'll edit the posts above that have presentation pictures.... check back up to them.

The voting went great as we had a mix of people that have "never seen anything like that" to experienced veteran builders/drivers.
There was a very young polite man ('bout 6) following me back and forth telling me "Hey Mister, I think the two motor cars are fastest'is of them all" I said "their the most powerful but probably not the fastest" What a look I got.
That was a moment ... he is, what we was ... wonderful.
Reminded me of the time I was told "Hey kid, don't keep your cars in a metal tackle box, it kills the magnets"
