In the A, stratospheric lap totals, with the Mustangs of Dustin, Neal and Brian, absolutely flying.
I also came up with a spare hooded sweatshirt. (Chuck's ?)

Saturday night shots. Great turnout. Thanks to the South Bend guys for coming out. Hopefully you can get your monthly hardbody program off the ground soon.
Mike took a little time to say good words about our friend, Ray Price....and the racing started.
19 total entries on the flat track. Eric takes the win in the B main, and Brian Meharry wins on the flat track. Good, close racing all the way around.
I think we'll bump Eric up to the A main next time around as he's proving to be a solid performer.

King Track had 14 entries. This is where some of the fast guys are allowed to run the faster style pony car bodies with additional motor choices, whereas the flat track we try to limit the cars to larger body styles and proslot 4002 style motors. I beleive Cheater has posted the rules elsewhere on slotblog.
Eric picks up his second win of the night in the B main. Dustin Senft comes out to play and picks up the win in the A main.
Neal Isler made a comeback to commercial racing a few weeks ago and made it to the podium.

14 on the flat track with Super Stock cars. Brian Edges out over Sano Dave by just a few feet, followed by Mike in the third spot.
10 on the King Track with Pony Stock cars. Neal Isler picks up his first commercial track win in a long time. Dave and Brian finish in the same spot for second, and its just too close to call.
Next week a few of us are heading to Bloomington Il to race at the new Mid America location. If you can"t make the journey feel free to swing by Chicagoland raceway for some action.

Valentines day photos and results. Great time had by all as usual. I won't be able to make it this Saturday, so you guys go ahead and have some fun.
On a side note, I have noticed some guys are starting to push the limits of the rules. I know that we typically don't do tech for weekly racing, but please pay attention to them, they are there for a reason. Rules can be found on this blog and on Facebook.

I'm posting results from this past Saturday's race (2/21/15). Like Brian Meharry, our series creator has said before ~ If you want to see what the draw is, come on out to Chicagoland Raceway Saturday nights.
First race is at 6 PM, and we've got plenty of cars in the boxes if you get hooked as quick as we did and want to try it. These races are for fun. We have a very cool group and you'll have as much fun as you did racing those huge Revell 1/32 sets we had as kids, or if you're younger and grew up with AFX or Tyco HO sets; you'll really get a kick out of hardbody racing ~ a lot more detail to the cars and a lot more realistic racing!
The club is building more and more incredible cars with the construction experience everyone is attaining. I'll post some eye candy for Ya'll besides the race results too.
First race was on the flat track; second was on The King ~

Incredibly nice weather (for once in Chicago this year!) and different scenarios tied up racers, but we still managed 7 for the flat track Saturday, April 18th.
Sixties-Era Chevys dominated the podium with Sano Dave Fiedler taking the win racing his Chevelle SS and Uncle Jimmy Cridler, piloting his Corvair, edged out Eric Brandenburg for second.
Race 1 Podium - Flat Track
1st - Sano Dave Fiedler - 141
2nd - Jim Crider - 137
3rd - Eric Brandenburg - 136
6 raced the King Track, and this time Mustangs dominated the podium; Mike Swiss took the win racing his 66 & Rick Hill took 3rd racing his 70 Boss.
Plus; Mike broke the King track race lap record with his thundering 151!
Sandwiched between the Mustangs on the podium was Eric Brandenburg who raced his 68 Camaro.
Race 2 Podium - King Track
1st - Mike Swiss - 151
2nd - Eric Brandenburg - 147
3rd - Rick Hill - 131

A hardbody with that dirt-track look is just the best!
Remember, two wrongs don't make a right... but three lefts do! Only you're a block over and a block behind.

How about posting some images of the cars for each race? I see the hard body cars pictured above. I am sure there are more. If you include the finish order, please state the type of race (class such as dirt cars etc) and the track
Thanks
