The moment of silence we just held here at Sano 9 seems so inadequate to express our love and respect for one of the best racers and nicest, happiest people in the slot car hobby.
RIP, Sano Dave. We are going to miss you for a long, long time.

Spoke with Dave's mother earlier this week and she said they will be planning a memorial service. Hard to believe he was racing with us just a few weeks ago.
Farewell, Dave.

Sorry to hear about this. Must be a very somber mood for the Sano.

John, you are correct. It's been a downer for everyone.
I was glad I called Dave a few weeks back just to chat. As always, he sounded upbeat and positive, which was and will always be an inspiration to me.

I'm under the impression my father, his sister, his cousin, and his mother were all by his side when he went, and I believe that's exactly how he wanted it to be.
I also want to thank everyone here again as you've all offered him plenty of support over the years, and your enduring friendships are what helped him fight for so long.
I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say things simply won't be as great without him. He was, without a doubt, the coolest mother-effing dude there ever was.
I love you, Dave.
