in an amazing turns of events, after what seemed a personal loss of much of the passion for Thingies (perhaps even slot cars in general? Could that be possible?), a pivotal and decisive window of opportunity opened up while new toys, coupled with the ever so beautiful Miss Cristina, demurely dressed in a virginal white Zentai suit and here posing in typical Botticellian style, turned up at The Royal Studio.
Let’s unravel what certainly will please most of you honorable men, always hungry for what’s been defined by zealots of all kinds as the scandalous scourge of our times: toys and girls and girls and toys!
Indeed, here we have a small, yet splendid, creature whose body was created by our own Gene Adams:
the Hydro Kompressor, here painted by John Dilworth of BFB fame.
The chassis also is a Dilworth creation: please note how the front wheels have been resolved, surely the product of an eccentric mind, quite typical of some Englishmen!
What could the motor be, you’re asking much intrigued?
But a John Havlicek’s one, you silly wonderer!
A Mura short D can which, before Mr. Havilcek did his magic, was barely fast enough to get around one of those tiny figure 8 plastic tracks one can buy for its rugrats at Christmas.
Now it’s an exciting, veeery exciting, motor with excellent brakes which rockets around my track like there is no tomorrow!
Next, hide your children (and grandma too) ‘cause Miss C has been up to no good...

I've been wondering what ever became of that shorty Mura and...bingo! John's work is outstranding here, as always...and he should recieve a knighthood for this one Hmmm...Sir John has a nice ring to it, I may have to petition the Queen mum about this! Anyway, the chassis is an excercize in elegant simplicity and the way he handled the fronts is lovely and looks like it would also be very functional as well. His paint scheme is lovely too and ver eye-catching! A fitting addition to what already must be the world's most extensive thingie collection!

Lord V, or 'Sir J', should be rightly proud of that little beauty. A lovely touch with those fronts, and a chassis whose simple elegance I will oft be encouraged by hence forth, in my own stilted, erratic, but hopefully burgeoning, thingie building career.

PS. Delayed, I know, but (I've only joined SB recently); Thanks for posting pictures of Your Majesty's Duc', Sire. ( post 195 ) She sure looks regal upon thy Royal track.

It’s now about time to exibit the Jane (Jihad) Doe's body, made by Gene Adams, ready to be made into a car by John Dilworth.
I think Mr.Dilworth could've been inspired by Mr. Thigpen’s Pro Plate build, which can be seen here: Pro Plate build by Rick Thigpen
and here’s what he concocted for the (now mostly in exile) Kingie:
To complete the build, what else if not another one of Mr. Havlicek motor beauties:
A souped up can side 26D!
Mr. Dilworth completed the body with a Kosmik Falling Sky paint job, reminiscent of Christmas night:
It then was time to test it on the track...
.... but as you can see it stood still and it needed a bit of help to take off:
Mmmmh... mumble....does’nt quite work...let’s try again...
No go! How could that be possible? The Edolf wondered...
A quick look (and a lesson to be learned again and again) and we saw Kiwi Pee oil (previously used in non sparingly fashion by our assistant - who was fired instantly) gushing out of the edb side!
A good cleaning with contact cleaner and NOW it was working! And man o man, what a rocket:
Bye now.

today We’re finally introducing Time Warp!
The body is a remake by Raynoda Werks under a suggestion by Dave Larsen, who had a chance to see the original back in the Bay Area by the end of the 60’s.
You must remember that this kind of modified Choti bodies were raced there on an oval and areodynamic experiments were quite common by then.
BTW Raynoda Master Werks provided an additional very thin sheet of PET which actually slides inside the wing once painted (paint job by Lupo Lupazzi)
John Dilworth is the master builder who made the harmonious chassis:
To which We added an ultra rare (at least here in Bigogno, our new residence) U-Go 16D:
Please note the replica front wheels made by Kai thanks to precise drawings by Rick Thigpen and here especially dedicated to you know who:
And here on the track:
And here what the Time Warp brought back from outer space:
A souvenir statue of the Thingie Goddess!

We thank you, dear Viscount of Vintage! May the red carpet roll in front of Us for years to come.It is good to have you back in the Kingdom.
Ahem... it has a great potential but on my track it tends to be a little insecure on certain curves if pushed to the max.A beautiful car to be sure, but, how does it run?
It behaves much better when Miss C gently yet powerfully breathes on the wing while the Time Warp passes in front of her.
Ciao, J.

Welcome back, Kingie!
But:
Why is the setup designed to run this rare motor backwards?

E, it is equally as rare in Timbuktu and Fresno...To which We added an ultra rare (at least here in Bigogno, our new residence) U-Go 16D:

Hi RavaWhy is the setup designed to run this rare motor backwards?
it was just an instant where the troubled anxious assembler came back momentarily.
If you look at the last motor picture you might notice the set up was corrected.
You now may be reassured that the maverick in me has been reaffirmed once again.
Thank you Mr. PeaNice to have you back here to rule your Kingeedom, Sire, Your Majesty.
I hope I can keep up the high standard I established before my self imposed exile.
Hi 32...how noisy are those gears ?
not as silent as our beloved Cox Nylatron.s but no more noisier than the ones on an original Asp.
Ciao for now

I did make a newer version of the Onewinger sense then, that's one of the very first one you have Edo. The wing did change as time went on. Here is the lastest version for now....now where did I put the 1/32 scale version
