A thing or two about Thingies

I really would like to see Pepe on his knees, what a sight that would be. After all his thingie is not that good I heard?
Edo he is not what he use to be, and you are the only one that can
control him, dear .
Hmmm, this is officially an NC-17 rated-post - for suggestive language. Newbies close your eyes...
Please don't let the cat out of the bag.
Thanks!

Edo is king of Thingies. PdL is king of all vintage slot racing.
A bit of respect, please!
Edo, you are also king of the camera, too!

"Great cars" is not enough to describe how much I enjoy these photos of your cars... Yes, they are great! Thanks so much...
Now I have a box full of these new Thingie offerings by Eldon as well. Wish I could make chassis like the ones you have!

Here's my track when it was just assembled in early summer and the timing system was still missing:
The footprint is about 10' x 26' and the length is 100'. Power supply is a regulated 3-15 volt 40 amp. I run my cars at 12V.
Regards,
Edo
PS: Please stand by, more cars on the way.

Are the lanes striped now? Before I have to ask you how you keep track of which car belongs on which lane.
I intend to live forever! So far, so good.

Hi Bill,Are the lanes striped now? Before I have to ask you how you keep track of which car belongs on which lane.
They were striped temporarily for the last round of the proxy race last year. Now I've gotten beautiful graphics from Swissracer which I'm waiting to put down soon.
In the meantime, since I was a very good shooter in the Swiss army, I can manage to keep a sharp eye on my lane when I race against myself and know exactly where I am.
Anyway, here's the SuperBus "Nostalgic" version:
Body by Gene, paint job by Lupo the Wolf (in Roxy Music glittery green):
Inline Dynamic done à la Iso chassis by Lord Velcro Howmet:
Dyna-Rewind 26D by the Bay (with usual Certus treatment by Kaiser Edolf):
BOO!
Scary beautiful, n'est-ce pas?

Here's an Arrow Dart (body by Gene, off course) variation. Chassis by Howmet:
Motor is a Champion 507:
7t pinion, 31t Cox crown. Wheels are 20mm diameter. The resulting ratio is quite nice on my track with good brakes and great acceleration.
Masterful paint job by Jairus:
OK, you can go back to snooze and I won't bother you no more.
... Maybe.

Can you tell us more about "the Wolf"?
I found myself very intrigued about his work. He must be a real artist?
Next time I go to Italy I will make sure that I have a chance to visit him if he allows it.
Until then I will admire his work and say WHOOO.
No wonder that you are the Kingee in the world of Thingies.

Hi Nesta,... Can you tell us more about "the Wolf"...
Lupo Lupazzi is an automotive artist. He does whole cars, bike tanks, and helmets. He just began doing slot cars at my request and he has learned pretty quick after a few experiments with different kind of paints for Lexan and PETG bodies. At first the paint jobs were a little delicate but now they are OK.
Anyway, you know how Kingee cannot refrain himself from bathing Himself in supreme vanity.
So why not have Gene's BadBus body painted by Lupo with Royal ensigns?
And why not have Lord De Howmwette perform his artistic musical craftmanship on the chassis?
Yes, why not:

Hey what's that cute flowery pink Thing behind the Royal BadBus:
Could that be the Dudette's?

Edo, I think a little upper frontal nudity would not be frowned upon, so long as it is tastefully presented.

lately I had the impression something was missing in my life...
Perhaps one more toy built by another top masterbuilder?
Indeed, I had seen Dennis "gascarnut" Samson's beautiful scratchbuilt 1/32 models, I even saw some interesting D3 stuff (for as much as a D3 can be interesting he made and I was intrigued by the quality of his work.
So, I said to myself, why don't I ask him if he wants to dabble in a Thing(ie).
Well he accepted, so I sent him a clear original Lancer Hornet and here is what he did:
Again a brilliant use of a Dynamic inline motor mount:
Motor is a mint K&B Jaguar 26D, right out from the Royal collection:
Front wheels are Kai's Buz-Co replica, rears Riggen 6 holes:
Cox 25T crown with a 6T pinion which is a tiny bit tall geared for my track but still the Jaguar pulls it very nice:
And here it is on the track:
The Hornet is very smooth, secure, glued to the track: a real pleasure to drive!
Thanks Dennis!
Edo
PS You have a bright future in front of you!
