The Kingy's collection must be approaching overflow status....
One suggestion, Kai's front wheels should received a quick sanding of the rim so the bright polished edge. That way the fronts will match the rear.

Edo
Edo, you're very welcome, this was a really fun project and I look forward to doing more like this.
PS You have a bright future in front of you!
Well, I'm not so sure about that, but I think you could make it as a photographer....
Those are just spectacular photos, thank you!

Good idea about the front wheels - I am sure Edo will take you up on that one. I did not have the rear wheels when I built the car, I think I would have done exactly that if I had.

today we're showcasing a couple of cars which have been on stand-by for 2 years, waiting for the proper vintage parts to come around.
In following the trend of using period Dynamic parts as a basis for the build, we had to experiment with sidewinder motor mounts.
(You'll understand we had to try different ways before we understood that godliness and the divine reside in inlines)
Anyway here's the SpeEdo (note the spelling!), a replica of the F&S winner of the 2006 Proxy Thingie Race, by our own John “Howmet TX” Dilworth.
The creature has a “Pocket Rocket” body based on a vintage plastic kit supplied by Swissracer, painted by Tillie Dilworth, John's daughter.
It uses a Dynamic chassis for a Mabuchi 26D, here a Classic 26D is used:
Riggen front wheels are mounted on a custom suspension set up.
John could'nt refrain himself to be funny and put this pilot in it:
Anyway, here's on the track:
Ta ta for now.
Next an Intruder...(Hi Larry!)

Is that all you can say?
Oh well, better than nothing...mumble...
Anyway,
after the immense success the SpeEdo has gathered, we're continuing the display of more toys.
Here's a Steve “Lowrider” Kempson creation for an “Intruder” body by Larry LS, painted by Steve himself:
Dynamic chassis for a Mabuchi 16D can, here a Classic 16D BB is used:
Riggen front wheels are mounted on a Dynamic independent set up.
On the track:
Rear wheels are rarissime U-Go with blue foam, restored with Trinity Zip Grip (God bless you, Tony P.!) :
Next a scandalous Red car*...by no less than "endbelldrive" (hi Bob)

Your E-steemed E-minence,Is that it, Dokk?
Is that all you can say?
Oh well, better than nothing...mumble...
My love is for genuine VINTAGE thingies, and while I like what I see and am impressed by what has been accomplished by the current talented builders who found their inspiration because of your passion for these fantastic creations, it is just not the same to me...
It's like Coke, unless it is in a tapered glass bottle, it is simply not "The Real Thing".
Please forgive Yr Hmbl Sbjct for being so narrow minded. I am still struck by Visconti's Il Straniero and Cocteau's La Belle et La Bete with Jean Marais...

It's simply like this, Dokk has been here to long in the US and he is losing his taste but not his humble attitude. He even lives in a
trailer park? It's like camping all year around, so be kind.
Or it could be the pollution in LA affecting him.
Take care EDO

Hey Edo, your facts are a bit twisted. so let me help you get them straight. It wasn't OWH I had stopped posting on a few years ago, but it was in fact here on Slotblog. And your photographic skills or its content had absolutely nothing to do with my decision. Character assassinations were being conducted on someone who neither deserved it, nor who had no posting privileges here. The blog at that time seemed to be heading more in a direction toward becoming a juvenile clique than a place for the exchange of slot car information, so I left. End of story.
Post whatever you wish, but use good taste & obey the rules. I believe I already saw that red car posted in another thread a few days ago. No? What do your original comments have to do with the blue Intruder? Anything?
I intend to live forever! So far, so good.
