Ain't that the truth. I'll never forget how well he raced when he came back to the hobby at Sano 2 (?) after decades away. It was like he'd never quit... absolutely amazing!

Now if only I could drive like that...
As I think Howie says in the video, it is easy to drive.
IMO, nothing was tricky about it, where he would have had to shift it into "Gold Dust Twin/Legend mode." LOL.

Now if it was a perfect replica the motor would have blown up. LOL.
Cool car. I was there when he originally ran it.

It was run mostly on 10 and 10.5v.
It did survive probably a dozen, or two, laps on 12v.
It also ran on the Fiedler Flat track on 13v, but a ton of electronic choke.

When I got to the abuse of equipment, fork in the road, I chose the turnoff for "Less Guys Slamming their Box, and Storming off, Boulevard." LOL.

So was I... But I have to admit I was paying more attention to Sandy's car that day.

Wow, How. You're a pretty awesome cameraman.
The best part is how you cheer me on at the end.
PS: I want to go on record as saying I dumped it on the last lap because I was looking up to check the monitor.

Very impressive work. Ironically when I was reading Fast Eddie's book a link to this thread was in the book. I say ironically because I'm currently building this on a vintage K&B frame with a Russkit motor. It's still in the process and there's a lot of work to do still but it's the same Lotus 40 body I believe. I plan to run it at Electric Dreams this weekend.
