I got em!  I got em! Actually, I have had them since about a week after I posted here.    Thank you so much for sending those. Now I can do my "kid stuff" again, which is to settle back and check out the latest slot car magazine. These are different from my kid days, though. Beautiful full color photos, well written articles with sharp, clear  slick gloss paper pages. Great Stuff!

Steve, you see to be saying no issues have been published in 2018. Is that true?

According to the date stamp on Dropbox, I turned in all my articles mid March of this year.  At the time, Gregg said he had plenty to fill it.
Not sure what the hold up is, but yeah, it seems to be one issue a year.

Incidentally, that is what has happened to Model Cars Mag as well.
I can only shrug my shoulders and build cars.

yes, I'm late, again.

Last week I finally got funding in place to keep the mags going.

And now mother nature has decided to put a stop to the progress.

We have for the past week been getting ready for our friendly hurricane Lane, and it's not over yet.

Yes, Jairus sent me most of files a while ago, but still there are holes in the mag, but I have that covered, I hope.

One thing with the mag, it relies a lot on dealer sales, and there is still over $3,000 outstanding in invoices not paid.

That's a big hit, and I don't have the time, or ability, to chase down non-payments.

Yes, I should cancel all the non-paying orders, and slim down the mailing, saving money in the long run.

I am doing that, and more.

It's not just about getting articles and putting the mag together.

Every single day there is paper work of some kind.

And with no money coming in, I have had to resort to selling off all my model car kits just to pay my basic bills.

Not a fun way to do things

But with this round of funding, and all the cards hopefully playing out right, things have started to look up.

 

No, I have not had that eighth back surgery, yet. Now, with my gait favoring the back, my left knee went out and I can no longer walk far, if at all sometimes. I know, more tears....

 

So, mag is not dead.

You can't file the loss.

You're stuck with me, till they put me six feet under, earth or water... :-)

 

I do want to thank you for your support, and patience.

 

It has been an insane road, but I do like driving...

You know Gregg, it goes on and on and on and on... Pages of it.. I have no idea what the real issue is and I'm getting to the point where I could really care less. But you never take the initiative yourself to stand up and say to those that have supported you "Hey guys, I'm still here I'm having issues".. You go unheard until someone posts here, then you reply with your list of reasons why you didn't do what you said you would do.. This time it's open invoices and a hurricane.. Sad actually.
