This new short shaft motor could still be used as hand-out motors as they would all be the same.

When you think about statements written on this site that if the new FK motor (FKHR) is faster than the Puppy Dog, "we won't approve it" and "it won't be faster," it shows a lack of foresight as to what the racers wanted. A cheaper alternative to the expensive "Dog" that has the same or better performance. It seems they're doing it again. If the only difference is shaft length, why not just allow the shafts to be cut on the older HR motors?
The etchings on the can clearly show what motor it is. If you feel the need to cheat just let me pass on a statement I'm very familiar with: "Go race something else."
Just another improvement for the racers as a "no cost" option. Isn't that what it's all about?
