Your choice of FK motor

It was a 3rd Eye Hitman FET.
But, I'm not qualified to comment if it was the motor's fault.
What typically happens with guys running full height brushes, is during a track call, if the motor stops in the shorted position, when the power goes back on, if the racer doesn't get off of the trigger when their car doesn't move, it lets out a little tiny puff of smoke.
After another track call, and pushing the car into another position, it either runs again fine(20% of the time) or runs again, noticeably slower (80% of the time).
As far, protecting controllers from blowing, when hooked up wrong, this is my simple solution.
A fusable link on the brake wire that will melt or pop.

The point I was trying to make, is that the batteries full amperage cannot be fed into any one lane at any stage.
Have I been advised correctly or not with this assumption?

You make a statement and then follow it up as an assumption.
Clearly you have a current issue at your track - it's the only place in the world that the melts the endbell off 4002's with regularity.
I also understand that your fellows who went to ISRA were disappointed in their cars performance due to the current (amperage) difference they experienced

I think you are talking through that hole in your head again

I know what I said!
I wasn't disagreeing with the first sentence in your statement above, but rather the rest of the diatribe.
I was not wanting to drag other Wellington racers into this needless and pointless discussion.
I understand that the track in Chicago had less power by comparison to ours due to; a) fewer braid taps and b) smaller diameter feed tap wire. To get speed, most racers were honing out their magnets so the cars could "coast" through the lower power parts.

I was not wanting to drag other Wellington racers into this needless and pointless discussion. Swodem: Who's dragging anyone in anywhere? I was referencing a recent event where the difference was commented on. If its needless and pointless then don't engage in it.

So you mean those from all over the world found that that track was down on power??

You guys are pushing it.
Let's tone it down a bit, or take it to Facebook where you can do whatever you want.
