Have a look at the race report on other retro racing, UKRRA. The class is not limited to 4" I'm using a JK camero Dilworth has a Jaguar XJ6 Ford Capri and Mustang in 4". some build 4 1/2 NASCAR and others have built the original Mini 3 3/8".

Difficult to find , here's a link
http://www.abslotsport.biz/page43.html

it's available as a separate part of the D3 F1 kit

Andy also has a new F1 kit which is a copy of my F1 with wide bracket and rear chassis plate, the bracket is one you fold yourself, I don't think he's updated the site yet but I saw the item last week.

Yea, I usually use a chopstick, as recommended by Dennis Samson, but this was my first f1 and everything is so tight. It also doesn't help that during this build i cut two fingers. One with a file, and one with a dremel... That didnt feel too good. LOL The damn blade got caught in some brass and the dremel slipped and nicked my finger...oops.

Craig, I've injured myself too many times in too many stupid ways to even care about concealing the true reason behind the injuries. I should be put in a bubble, LOL.

I disagree too, Craig - where's the fun in being a geek when you can't share Stupid Geek Tricks with other geeks who've already done 'em all anyway?

My own favorite was the time I was soldering & used my mouth as a third hand while nudging the pan a bit closer into the joint...gee, who knew the acid flux would wick up the fold in that metal brush handle?

:) Looks good Preston!!! No need to remove any solder though--just reheat with more acid and let it flow out smooth. If you have never used the F1 kit before you will find that you will have to elongate the front axle holes to get the proper clearance with JK tires. Build on!!!!
