Still a few racers working on getting their cars through tech. The only ones still in line were those unfortunate enough to get bounced the first time through.

TQ is .002 seconds slower than last year. Must be the lack of adequate preparation time.

There are nineteen Senior Can-Am entries, so the format with be two races, a ten-man B Main (two sit-outs) and a nine-man A Main (one sit-out), using the 'one and done" method. i.e. final placing will be determined by lap totals.
The B Main is starting now...

Driver's license?
Can be purchased almost anywhere in Ohio, for about the price of an awesome X25R and a pair of BB fronts.

The well-deserving recipient of the 2017 'Mac' Award, in memory of Ralph 'Mac' McMasters who opened Tom Thumb Hobbies in 1963, is Steve Koepp, one of the most talented and nicest people in the slot car world.
The Mac award is given (in years when a deserving candidate is identified by the R4 Committee) "for contributions to the growth of IRRA and Retro racing."

The racers at the R4 were treated to another great lunch on Saturday, cooked and served by the R4 ladies support staff.
Unfortunately, I screwed around posting stuff and missed out completely... it was all gone when I headed for the counter. LOL.
I'm not likely to be harmed by missing a meal or two...

Here's the car staging rack used during qualifying and it wasn't nearly large enough, as evidenced by the extra cars in the cardboard flats on the floor.
Florida racers will almost certainly recognize the wacko who photobombed the top pic... LOL.

I knew he was older than me (I'm 61).
I just figured with a 4.5 car, he was still tender enough to give Cap and Willy something to chew on. LOL.
