Congratulations to Cap Henry for taking the win in Can-Am at the R4/10!
It's quite interesting to note that Cap did not set high lap total on any one lane nor did he score the top actual vs. potential number on any one lane. All of which suggests that a) he had a fast car and b) that he was consistently good across all eight lanes, avoiding the dreaded bad lane(s) that can kill a racer's chances for a win. This analysis is supported by the fact the his actual vs. potential percentage for the entire race was the highest among all A Main racers.
This is the LapMaster race development screen, which shows Cap ended the first heat in fourth place and dropped to fifth after two heats, then drove his way to the front by the end of heat 6 and never relinquished the lead from that point on.
The A Main actual vs. potential table:
Sunday morning addendum: To illustrate further Cap's amazing consistency, here's a tabulation of each racer's lap total spread, i.e. the difference between their best heat lap total and their worst.
Cap: 38-37 = 1 lap
Ross: 38.5-34.6 = 3.9
Will B.: 38.3-35.2 = 3.1
Will C.: 38.4-35.7 = 2.7
Jimmy: 38-36.1 = 1.9
Greg: 37.9-35.6 = 2.3
Ricky Jr: 37.8-36.3 = 1.5
Rick S: 37.6-34.2 = 3.4

The entire A Main field holding their awards, from eighth place on the left to the first place winner on the right.
While there's no doubt the seven racers to Cap's right each wanted to be the racer clasping the big plaque, it is hoped they can find solace in the realization that each one of them bested at least 31 other Retro racers to reach the A Main final to compete at the highest level with some of the very best of their Retro racing peers.

Qualifying for the Group 1 F1 cars is starting, while the Group 2 racers are taking their cars through tech. Saves time to use this approach.
Won't know how many entries there are until tech is completely finished. As always, F1 entries at the R4 are down a bit from Can-Am but it looks like we'll still have pretty good-sized group.

Can-Am Concours winner and pic?
Can-Am race cars pictured on the staging rack looked magnificent!
Would love to see a few of those builds!

Richard,
I've retrieved the Can-Am concours pics from Bill Fulmer and will post them after I get F1 qualifying posted.

Again, qualifying was combined, i.e. Senior and Open cars all qualified together. A capital S at the end of a racer's name in the above table signifies a Senior division racer.

Total F1 entries is 42, with 30 in the Open division and 12 in the Senior division. A little better numbers than we were guessing, but that's a good thing.
Haven't heard yet for sure if the Senior division will run as a twelve-man round-round, but that's probably what will occur.

Did Bill again document the cars? Will he add albums to his photo site again?
Yes and yes. I did the car documentation photos for the first R4 or two but since then Bill Fulmer has taken over that function for the race and I very much appreciate that he has!

One twelve-man round-robin for the Senior division
Three ten-man round-robins for the Open division.
They're picking lanes now for all the races now and racing will start soon...
