Gotcha.

I'm just worried not being up to date like the rest of the slot world.

The illegal post in capital letters scared me.

I understand what you're saying.

And – technically – by the letter of the current rules (from 2007 really) – it is illegal because it's over 3.25". But like I said ... give Jay and the rest of the BoD a chance to get it right.

From talking with a couple of the BoDs and other racers at Pinellas Park, I think the consensus was to find a way to make it legal.

If nobody had ever stopped to measure the Defender, I might have never known that the rest of the world moved to 83mm. See, my fifth grade teacher was right, we're all headed toward the metric system.   :)

By the way, I'm not sure that the new Defender has made it through the USRA or ISRA approval process yet either. I'm sure it will be approved as I don't really see a reason it wouldn't. But you and I both know that I have been wrong before and will be wrong again. So in a crazy, almost-never-happens kind of way, Florida might be ahead of the curve with approval since it has been used in the May and June races.

I believe the USRA hasn't approved the Defender or the C43.

Yet. ☺

83 mm = 3.267 inches.

No one should get their panties in a twist over 12 thousandths of an inch.

I said yet.   :)

It is cool to have choices. Reminds me of when a couple of Holy Hell Florida guys took JK Cheetah 7s to the Nats when the rest of the world was running the Champion Turbo-Flex chassis.

Thank you, Marcus!.

The two-piece aluminum pans from your personal stash ended up on my race car.

Even TonyP will like the new chassis ha-ha.

Mossetti Defender all the way!
