.690" is way too large for the cars we race on our flat track
That's why you have a Hudy – so you can turn them down a millimetre or two
.690" is only 17.5mm, you'll be running 16mm? Will help you fill in your day rather than posting like above.

Is there a rule of thumb on which id size donut is correct for a given hub size? Such as:
.375" ID tire for .400" and .425" hubs.
.425" ID tire .470", .510", and .600" hubs
My local track owners just notified me that they are now listed on the JK website and thanked me for the info. Without Slotblog I would not have found out about JK's new direct to track sales. I want to direct the thanks I received to Cheater for Slotblog and also JK-Tim for using this valuable resource to spread the word.
Hi Mark,
Yes, on 0.375", but for 0.425" we think you'd have a difficult time stretching them on a 0.600" hub so we have 0.575" ID for those hubs.

Tim:
I am putting together a shopping list to take to my track and I noticed that it looks like the DS/L-10 cost still needs to be adjusted. I know you have a full plate and just wanted to bring it to your attention. The .850" OD donuts work for what I run.
Thanks

I used the DS JK Premium donuts the last two weeks for our Group 10 GTP races. I chemically treated them prior to mounting on .400 JK plastic hubs. I raced them @ .735" for the first race, retrued and raced again @ .730" . (note <.005" wear for the first race)
Our track is a very fast 220 foot long Engleman with a mixture of flatish and banked corners. We typically use .400 (small) and .470 (large) JK Plastic treated tires. I went 194.5 laps the first and 188 the second race. (track record is 196 laps)
My inital impression of the rubber was one of genuine surprise and a sense of urgency. The surprise was due to the incredibly tight pore structure, strong fish rubber scent, and unusual amount of natural stickiness present on the bare donuts. The urgency was because I only ordered 20 pair. I've since aquired enough to consider myself well stocked.
This rubber absolutely needs to be part of your race program. If your racing on a track where natural rubber is appropriate, and your not using this batch, your at a distinct disadvantage.
Buy now or wish you did later.

Hopefully Eagle will now carry all of the Jk donuts including the premium fish rubber. Fortunately I purchased JK donuts from my local track when JK was selling direct to the tracks. Buying the packs of 10 pair was really nice. Must say I am sorry that JK reverted back to the distributors.
Eagle currently lists only one JK donut for purchase which is shown as the JKP-D4 .375 x .975 Natural Tire Donut for a list price of $4.65. JKProducts.com does not list a .375x.975 tire but has a JKP-D4 .375 x .920 with a list price of $3.50.

Hi Mark,
I am working with the distributors on updating their pricing, new numbering system, and adding the new products. Please give us a little time.
Yes Don, we still sell direct at retail.

We assumed there has been a lot of work happening behind the scenes and appreciate anything that can help our local tracks get the products they need in a timely fashion. You spoiled us briefly with easy access to your entire catalog.
Hopefully your recent moves has provided the "jolt" the slot car industry needed to improve.
Thanks,
Mrk

How about making them affordable, 10-13 bucks is ridiculous for a set of toy car tires.
JK, how about offering a core deal, we mail the hubs in you recon them?

The price is way better than the Kelly's which so far they seem quite comparable to.

Maybe time to think about another hobby if you think slot car tires are too expensive?
