Bill, yes we are allowed to run a choke.  My controller has a built in choke and I do plan on using it.  The controller also has a few other things that could help me tailor the inputs to the car to match my driving ability.  These motors are torquey and have High RPM capability.  I plan on making use of the RPM through tires and gearing and try to reduce the effects of the torque through the controller.  Most likely won't need to use my brake adjustment due to the strong magnets, I'll leave it set to ZERO.
