1. I have not been to a Retro East race nor have I seen a sign-up sheet.
2. Racers are lazy and write badly.
3. How do these racers want a good report of the race to be written when the race report writer has to know what their name is and guess what they wrote?
4. Maybe everyone is at fault. The computer operator because they cannot read what you wrote. The racer for not putting down their real name. The racer for writing it badly. The race sign-up sheet for not giving a place for first, last, and nick-name.
I find it is sad that there is so much stuff about nothing and very little about the race and what can be done to make slot car racing better.
I hope everyone had a good time. No matter what your name is. But it would be nice to know your name.

I agree.

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

But that's always been the problem with slot racers – localism and poor social skills make poor communicators. A simple cellphone picture of the final screen after the mains is EASY to post – but it takes someone doing it.
Good you'se guys in the east had fun! Congrats to the import racers – West Coasters and the Tokyo crew!!

Great runs by so many. Perhaps an annotated version of the Final Race Results can be assembled with proper names, somewhere down the road. I've gotten a lot of 'em figured out.

If there are move-ups, the lap totals of the final race are the ones that count.
How could the 3rd and 4th place finishers in the B Main, be credited with 2nd and 3rd, overall, when the two guys who finished 1st and 2nd, in that B Main, and moved up, had more laps than them?
Edit-PS: Eddie, maybe you weren't aware there was move-ups.

Eddie did.
Last place in the A Main could have 1 lap, and he stills finishes 8th.(in races with moveups)
I was just pointing out that the 2 moveups from the B, obviously had higher lap totals than Tebu and Edsel.

Yes, and Doug had 352 laps, the 3rd most overall. Thanks Mike. I was aware there were move-ups. I'm just spent from a day of racing myself and wasn't thinking. (Actually, it looks like Dom Luongo had the 2nd most laps in the B Main with 353.)
Eddie
That's why they both moved up to the A Main.
Like Jason said, that how they do it at BP, at the big races, and the monthly ones, with bigger turnouts.
