Yes, there is a nice facility in Dallas, GA, and Acworth, GA. The Dallas track does indeed have a Purple Mile track and a huge Daytona oval as well as a drag strip. The Acworth Speedway is moving to a new location on Glade road and has a Daytona Oval and a "Smooth as silk" Windsor road course. They both host FCR touring series races. Jeff and John are old slot car racers struggling to keep the hobby alive.
We have a third track in the area as well in Marietta. GA. CMS hobbies has a brand new oval and a 155 hill climb as well as a drag track. They host FCR touring series racing, Kelly series racing, and retro series as well. This area is really lucky to have three facilities within a 30 mile radius. Come on out and race with us.
All three tracks try and work together to make the hobby grow. If you have a series you would like to bring to this area just contact the owners, they are all open and are really interested in growing the hobby of slot car racing.

Some of these raceway owners don't even know how to help themselves.
If I had raceways nearby, I would surely keep you updated. The only update I have is for Mississippi and Louisiana raceways. :

Fast Lane Slotcars and Raceways

There used to be 5 or 6 diferent plastic tracks, but with the tough economy, Ray has condensed into one building with a drag strip, a 4-lane figure 8, and a 125' 4-lane road course. Right now, all the track is Carrera, and Ray is considering replacing the figure 8 with a 4-lane oval, maybe around Christmas.
We race mainly plastic chassis cars both magnet and non-magnet. We have a great group of racers who are always ready to help out the newcommer or veteran alike and the track also has a large sellection of cars and parts. If you're in the area, please stop by just to chat or to race.

Raceway Alley in Middletown, OH, shut down last week. You can take it off the list.

It's time for me to do another email blast to the Slotblog membership, asking everyone to review their state's entries in the Raceway List. As has been mentioned before, the only way we can keep the raceway List current is to enlist the help of the slot racing community itself.
When I get caught up...

The High Point, NC, raceway is gone.
Well, not for long!
They have a new location in nearby Thomasville at 120 W Main St.
Along with the Hillclimb, Olgilvie blue King, and drag strip, they hope to assemble their Hasse King Cobra as well. They're already scheduled for High Point's USRA race, Feb 13-14, 2010.
Let's go racin', boys.

Raceway owners are encouraged to post "Moved to: (address of new location)" signs in the windows of their old location so that their casual customers can find them.

I noticed the track I just started racing at is not in the track list. It is
Thazer Raceway.
2925 Mishawaka Avenue
South Bend, IN 46615
Owner is Dave Geehring, he is extremely helpful and runs a great track.
The track is a 145' Hillclimb with crossover lanes, extremely challenging and fast track. Races are on Wed nights at 6 PM, track opens at 5, as well as Saturday at 2 PM and Sundays at 1:30 PM with track opening at 1 PM. Currently running Flexi 2s and 5s on Wed, as well as on Saturday and Sundays. This coming Saturday, December 10, we are having a special event running 4.5" FCR, Retro F1, and Flexi/Acura. Please call (574) 232-2118 for details on on rules for classes, etc. I know we have some racers coming from Lansing, IL, to participate.
Thanks all, please come out and support our facility and add the track to the directory!
