If you get a chance to snap a track pic for the entry, it would be appreciated.

That would be great. Just send me the raw pics to greg@slotblog.net.
Much appreciated!

Please ask Dave if he knows who built that track. I've not seen one like it in a long time.

The Slot Shop is already listed in our Raceway List. Here's a link:
The Slot Shop
Can you check the list of tracks and let me know what needs to be removed and what needs to be added? Thanks!
Also, if anyone can provide pictures of the tracks at The Slot Shop, we'd love to add them to the entry.

Hi guys...
I'm new here. I noticed the thread about raceways and thought I would add another to the list. There is no sub-directory for the state of Oregon but we have a new track opening up soon in Albany, OR.
It is a commercial track located at ASA Hobbies... 1193 Santiam Rd S.E. 97321, phone is (541) 926-5075... The 1/24 scale raceway has just been completed but is still a few days away from being operational. They have a huge four-lane HO track at the same site.
I'm not sure how they plan on organizing events but at least there is a new venue for racing here in Oregon.

I'll get a new Oregon subforum created and add a listing for ASA Hobbies ASAP.

Guys,
Yes, there is a nice facility in Dallas, GA, and Acworth, GA. The Dallas track does indeed have a Purple Mile track and a huge Daytona oval as well as a drag strip. The Acworth Speedway is moving to a new location on Glade road and has a Daytona Oval and a "Smooth as silk" Windsor road course. They both host FCR touring series races. Jeff and John are old slot car racers struggling to keep the hobby alive.

Wow, is there really another real Purple Mile in Georgia? Can anyone verify this, or if it is not in operation what happened to this track?

There was never a Purple Mile at Dallas. This was simply confusion about the unique shortened track that John has, which for many years was at Flashbacks in Snellville, GA.
There's a long thread about this track and I'll try to post a link to it later.

Thank you so much for your effort and attention to my request. Although I want to open a slot car raceway one day, if not I want to travel to where great old tracks are still in operation with slot cars I have yet to produce. You have greatly assisted my effort.
Best,
