I have run them regularly in my F1s and they have given me no problems and are plenty fast

I DO believe that both the TSR D3 and the Falcon 7 are not available through normal channels as production of the motors has ceased and far as I'm aware, no future production runs are planned. If there are ANY still available, PM me... I'll buy some !
Is the above statement accurate? I see that PdL posted a link to motors that are currently available. Has production stopped and, if so, does that affect the motors' legality in IRRA racing? I'd hate to see us lose another motor that some racers enjoy.
Just askin'. As always, I need some enlightenment.

Jim,
the question is, are the motors available, and it appears that yes, they are from several retailers. Hence the question of "production" is not an issue until they become unavailable. Then the persons who own the rights will either have a new batch made, or not.

The perfect evidence that all manufacturers were not playing a fair game. Wire size, turns numbers, number of plates and stack length...

While Ian's chart is very informative and for the most part accurate, I have to contest his wind count on the JK HR. Every one I have counted had at least 65 turns. Once a pole counted 66. As far as the Demon and Evil-9 goes, they are not "Falcon-7" equivalents.

Wasn’t there a spec change on the HR some time ago? Bear in mind that chart was populated about 4 years ago. Their data was from just one motor of each.
No the Demon and Evil-9 were 5 winds down.

Steve,
The JK HR has always been 65t/#30. You might be thinking of the PS 4002. The spec never changed, just the number of winds the Chinese decided to put on them. But it was eventually discovered despite the efforts of the sitting motor chairman. It was then relegated to Stock Car service only. Just one of those things that falls between the lanes.
