Tarn-X is less abrasive than Brasso. If it doesn't clean like you want or expect, because your parts have lots of tarnish, you could try Brasso or Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish. I keep both on hand.

Mabe it's because I didn't soak the parts long enough. As I said, I followed the instructions and diped and rinced. As far as the Brasso,I love it but, OMG the smell is overwhelming. I can't remember what the other product is called but, it's a cotton like substance that is very oily. Great for a quick once over.

Use a SOS pad & running water. The pads do have a scent.

And like I always say do not use Brillo. Way to coarse. :)
