...the magnets are well centered and stable thanks to the strong springs. I'll only drip a couple of drops of cyanoacrylate just to be safe...

This arm comes from the late FT 16-74. I left its original Formvar red wire, carefully advanced the timing, bonded the comm with dental floss, and resined everything with high-temperature epoxy. Finally, I lathed the comm and had my friend Salvo statically balance it.
