I got my first Yeti brass chassis parts from Donna Hubbal in Elyria. Later, I got a couple steel tongues & a card of .032 pans on eBay, (probably from Jim). Jim made some anglewinders for FK cans. I think the initial ones were brass/wire, the later ones were steel. I believe he made both 1/24 & 1/32 scales.

Mark, I looked through half a dozen of my slot mags dated 1986-94. Your Parma chassis in post #17 is a Shuttle #579. I found a tiny photo of it in a 1992 copy. This chassis is very similar to the Shuttle (far left) in your red circle. That chassis has pans angled in front, the Parma has them squared off in the front. Within the past 10 years or so, there has been many angled pan Shuttles on eBay, but only several of the square pan versions. You said your Parma was off 1/8" on the jig. Was that before or after you hit the wall?  Since there aren't many square pan Shuttles out there, you ought to rebuild yours into a complete chassis rather than leave it looking like a pile of scraps.

Mark, your other Parma chassis in the white circle is a #580. I'm not sure if it had a name or not.

Hi Bill, The #580 was called a Tri-pod Group 15.

Thanks for the update Ken! I might try building one of these with a GRP (Great Race Products) brass tongue I have around. Just for fun, since there hasn't been any New England wing car racing in many years & now only three raceways.
