Mike,
Since you're keeping a compilation, my self and a friend have both an Orange Monarch and a Yellow Windsor in storage here in NC. They are both in very bad shape an would need all new decking to ever be raceable again. The guy we got them from 12 or 13 years ago stored them under an open shelter and you can guess the rest. We bought them on the cheap just to keep them from going to the landfill. In the last week, we have agreed to sell them to a gentleman in Aurora, NC who wants to open a shop. I'll keep you posted as to their whereabouts when they actually do moved. The Orange is a standard version, not a deluxe. There are some pics of this Orange as well as the one Lonny just purchased on my FaceBook Slot Tracks page here: http://www.facebook.com/NCslottracks

How 'bout that, two fully restored original AMR tracks set up, restored, running and BEING USED in the same building in 2012! Pretty amazing.
I had a long talk with Lonny on the phone this weekend and he said he will apply all lessons learned on the King track and do even a better job on the Orange. He said he will go with a flat black racing surface, just as the original. He's also looking for an original timer box/power supply and an original clackity-click lap counter.
Here's Lonny's section on the Texas Slot Racing website:

We were talking one day and he mentioned that he had several that he used for rotation at the shop.

This Okie-guy wants to come south when you get it all set up and running. Even my son wants to fly down to Dallas from New Jersey and work in a race while he's there visiting family. Can't wait.

In reference to:
"There is also a American king that I have seen pitchers of that is up and running in Independence Missouri. I think I can get more info on the track if so i will post."
The only King track I know of in the Kansas City area is in Raytown Missouri.
That being the 2003 Wing Nats track that is an Ogilvie, that came from Roman at The Track in Md.
Tell us more........ please

I was at HoTracks in Independence, Missouri for a meat in the middle race that was being held there. I overheard some people talking about an American Blue King so I had to butt in and ask a few questions. The man told me it was a privately owned track and in very nice condition. He was very excited about getting to make a few laps on it and proceeded to show me some pictures he had taken. The track looked very nice and original, with the track surface being black and the infield all in tact. He invited me over to see the track and said it was only ten minutes away. however I couldnt go because we were in the middle of the race.I should have went on over and seen it because I didnt do very well at the race anyway. I have some friends up there. I'll see if I can get some more info and maybe some pictures.

Mike, I have an update for your list. I recently purchased the Queen that was in storage in Georgia. Unfortunately, the track is not an original AMCR track...
John, thank you for that information. I haven't had time to update the list yet, but when I do, I'll delete that entry.
If anyone knows of a Queen, or any other American track that isn't on the list, please post the info here. Thanks!

Lonny, I tried to call you the other day to see if you had picked up the track. You didn't answer. You were probably on the road coming home with it.
Congrats!!! Can't wait to see it all dressed out after you finish restoring it. Please post pictures of your progress.
This old man will make a road trip to Texas just to see it and run on it.
My son and I sure had fun last year when you let us play on your Blue King.

The best thing to say about the Soveriegn is that they are all gone today.
I don't know why some people don't like the Sovereign. I've raced on the "Purple Mile" at Modelville Hobby, and that is probably my favorite track! There used to be another one at a commercial track located in a strip mall in Randolph, MA in the late 60's, but I have no idea what ever happened to it.

Paul, when Modelville was located on Speen St.(Rte. 135) in Framingham, there was another Sovereign there, along with an American Orange & Windsor. That was my home raceway from 1969-75. I'm not aware of the Sovereign that was in Randolph. Do you recall the years it was there?
I intend to live forever! So far, so good.
