This has been a real good discussion and I'm sure it's helped promote attending the "big" races.

If a person gets enough slot car wins he could probably work his way into 1:1 racing...taking up tickets or sweeping the grandstands.

I wonder how long it would take to piss people off if I started to critique solder joints for a certain level of Sanoness ?
:laugh2:
"Hey Bunky, lookie here, this guy has an ugly joint attaching his motor bracket hahahaha he should know better blah blah"
Answer: about 2 seconds.

One more comment: Shame on anybody who thinks, infers, and/or and publicly announces, that anybody in this class has an unfair motor advantage. You are kidding yourself. Anybody want to discuss that further, I have the time, and you know my PM address.

it will be a tough decision to make a pick from all of these fantastic driving suits....

Is the Fast Ones Team going to slot races or maybe trying to break into Horse Racing. Those would make any jockey proud. LMAO

I seldom post anything on this Forum.
But I will pose this question which is worse Ron's Paint Jobs or the "I'm better than you Attitudes" or "You don't come up to MY STANDARD".
Some of you are so Petty.
If you want a Standard that requires Detailed Bodies, take up Model Car Building and Enter some Contests.

TSR I have already made 67 and it doesn't give me the right Bash Anyone or Criticize Them. If we all had the same tastes we all be married to the Same Woman.

The people who whine about Ron's Motors don't have a clue as to how good a Driver he is. He would probably Swap Motors with anyone of you and still beat you. But you probably will never know because you will not show up to Race. It is much easier to set at Your Little Keyboard and Bench Race.

Better yet show up with your Beautiful Bodies and beat Ron and keep him off the Podium and you will not see his bodies, Oh that's the Problem "Showing up and Beating Him Part".

What's Next Hand Out Painted Bodies? Please get a clue this is TOY CARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah..after all this nonsense here and in some other threads I am going to have to change the grade I gave on the behavior of grown men with their toy cars.

I guess TNTTires agrees with me ! :D

I'm just glad to know any time I want a really nice body, I can get Noose to paint one for me.

Or I can paint a simple body and race it until it is destroyed :)

That's it. I'm showing up at the next race with an ugly body. laugh2.gif

Mr.Noose,,youd be like Warmack at BPR,,,he showed up with a primer black, body and almost won concourse with it,the detailing, and driver was superb, they said (the concourse judge that day),because it was PAINTED ON THE OUTSIDE of the body,,,,i thought it was the best of the month at our D3 races,,,,,lol, and Warmack just uses rattle cans,,,,

I guess I am not a geek then. :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: But then again when this subject came up....... my name was the only one mentioned out of all the ugly, boring bodies Harry seen in the Sano pics. ;)

it just caught my eye that such a high profile business man would present himself this way......like i said i pointed out the good before the bad.....i had a lot of respect for you Ron,,but all is lost (not that it matters to a person like you)...O well its squashed!!!!

I still dont get why everyone got all crazy over my opinion??????? i guess the little mans words are heard!!!!

Oscar,
I think that he DID win Concours with the black body, and it did look great between the flat and glossy black effects. By the way Oscar, "concourse" is something you find at an airport. Concours is the frog word for "contest". :)
And I am with Tony P, I believe that Concours should be divided between chassis and body and not only body.

And if I were not a "high profile business man" would have brought it or my name up???

How I present myself and my body is two separate things. So a guy with a ugly or boring body is a ugly or boring person?? Your descriptions...not mine.

As for the respect you had for me..... get at the end of the long line of other who feel the same as you.

They got crazy, I will assume, because we were already down this road before.

This thread is really funny and a good read I gotta say. I think in the end its all just a big witch hunt against Ron, and the body excuse is just a poor way of giving one of the best racers/builder/race prepared mechanics this sport has today or has ever had a hard time. Now if you want to see a blatant nose up to the establishment when it comes to crappy looking bodies go back to the winning car from the Can-Am race @ the first R4. Now that guy took no time at all to detail his body or even paint the thing a decent color, but not one person (except Noose) said a word about his lack of detail, yet Ron gets brow beat the next year for his. Sounds like a lack of consistency with " THE SPIRIT " or just a way to knock a great driver like Ron for something not performance related.
