And five years later Noose still turns out gems... Still love those Lolas.

OK, gang... first painting of bodies in over 20 years. Killer on the eyes at this old age.

If anyone is a golf fan then you know what TaylorMade means. Some detailing work on this one... it's for my first Can-Am car.

Nice!

Noose, TaylorMade was also the name of a very famous British slot car parts company in the late 1960s... :)

Interesting. If you notice I numbered the car with R7 with 425 next to it. In 2007 that was the name given to Taylor Made's new driver. They are up to the R11s now. Sounds much more like a car name. LOL.

Great job! Remember the first race Mike Katz ran the yellow one. I wonder what ever happen to Tag Powell ( Mini Wheels) he also had a Rocket club. Me and uncle Al went to on one sunday. I can't remember a girl Lori's last name that a lived with for six months in 1992 but i rember those rockets going off in the park. My son Dom is 4 and as his own wooden box, one that i never had. I hope he remembers times like yesterday at zepplin hobbies racing against other kids all day.

Nice job on the bodies and interiors, as always, Noose.

Just curious about something...

When painting black-based interiors (as you know, some are clear, some are white), do you recommend certain types of paint? I find myself having to use several coats of acrylic on them, which can easily lead to mistakes.

Just wonderin'.

For the main color (usually black) Rustoleum makes a flat black for plastics that sticks well.

For driver's suits, etc. I pretty much use the Parma paints. For helmets and shinier items I use my 1 Shot lettering enamels. Same stuff I use for lettering. Not cheap, but very, very good.

I checked out the 1Shot website and it seems they offer a variety of different types of paints --- even flourescents, which would probably interest one of my regular racing buddies who loves his bright orange cars.

Thanks for the tip.

Do you typically spray the Rustoleum base on the backside of the interior and then brush on the top? I was wondering if one method seems to look better than another. Unfortunately, I think mine will always look a little amateurish anyway; I lack physically artistic skills.

I spray the Rustoleum right on the top and then do all the rest of the work on top too.
